I have an officially recorded IQ of 131-136 and have been tested multiple times, why am I still such a fricking midwit compared to real intellectuals? I'm slow and inarticulate and stupid.
What are some books about this phenomenon?

It is a bingo.
You lack discipline or erudition. You didn't have the same exposure to ideas that would form you into a first-class intellectual. You may have autism. Real intellectuals have a standard deviation on you.
Pick your poison; any or all of the above may be true. There's nothing wrong with being bright rather than a genius.
You just need to find the particular arena in which the ability you have is reflected, which may not be, e.g., the articulateness required for glib extemporaneous analysis. It may be the ability to study or write about law or history or science or math. (Babe Ruth does not impress as particularly bright, but scientific testing showed that he was in fact able to process the variables in constantly shifting baseball game situations - which are surprisingly complex - *much* faster than most players.)
To quote a remark from an unpublished book: God can't drive a parked car. You have to stick your finger into a few pies, and find the one that's agreeable both to your ability and your sensibility. Also, you simply have to accept the fact that there will always be people smarter than you (although if that score means anything, it signifies that you are a bit smarter, perhaps quite a bit, than most).
First off, grow some self esteem, nobody feels bad for you if you insult yourself, its just pathetic.
im assuming "slow" and "inarticulate" are part of the same underlining problem, you can't formulate and organize thoughts properly in a timely manner. You need to practice putting thoughts in a organized format in writing, keep doing this until your thoughts look coherent and well thought out with proper structure, this is a good starting practice to making your thought process more fleshed out. You should time yourself later on too, that can help you think more quick on your feet. You Might be wondering? What do i write about? Well these anons are right,
You need to find a subject you are interested in and put the effort into actually learning it, doesn't matter how high your IQ is, posting on IQfy all day is not going to put that IQ to use. I'm going to recommend you something most people don't do here, read a book, it doesn't matter what it's about, as long as you're learning something and you're interested in it.
Adjust how you think of intelligence. It isnt nearly as much of a silver spoon as you'd assume, someone that is purely average whose parents instilled in them a passion for these things supercedes you and, possibly, always will. Why? Because intelligence isn't the same endowment as, say, wealth. Your intellectual is best understood as speed, by way of allegory at least. You are smarter than me, i bet, if you and I picked up the same new hobby you'd excel at it before me. However, philosophically I am likely far superior to you. This is because, despite my average capabilities, I put much more time into it than the average person and, based on your post, than you. Intellegence is to us wht speed is to a car. A fast car going in the wrong direction will always lose its race to a slow one!
>why am I still such a fricking midwit compared to real intellectuals?
>I'm slow and inarticulate and stupid.
You answered your own question, sweatie.
Because IQ is a meme, but the chudoids here won't admit it
>officially recorded IQ
there is no such thing. sorry anon, you have been duped
Because intelligence on its own doesn't mean anything. Natural midwit born to wealthy parents, shaped by intellectual envirnonment, expensive education and intrinsic drive/curiosity is already far ahead of you despite his cognitive handicap. There are plenty of people with even higher IQ than you who are just soulless codebugs chasing crypto and used up white pussy.
>soulless codebugs chasing crypto and used up white pussy.
Holy shit I can attest to this. Knew a midwit who made it to 200k at 25 in google out of sheer passion for coding. He's far exceeds his peers and colleagues yet in life as moronic as possible. Complete simp, no gf, zero dignity. And I mean ZERO DIGNITY when it comes to women
Many such cases
>dignity
a meaningless word, u got filtered by your friend
pretty sure IQ just measures spacial reasoning skills
No more internet, buy Aristotle's collected works, and read it all three or four times in a row. Meditate one hour a day, walk one hour a day. Do this for a year and you will be smart.
>my iq is 131-136
>why am i a midwit
>131-136
Because your iq is midwit range? Intellectuals of any generative or creative capacity have a standard deviation or more on you, and that's basically where you need to be to just get “in the door”.
Anything below 140-145 is midwit/moron tier wnd if you were alive at the time of any of your favorite literary geniuses your IQ would be normed closer to 100
Now back this up with actual data, instead of pulling numbers out of your ass.
Because you lack knowledge/skills. Absolute morons run the world because they have the absolute minimum skillset to get them there.
>why am I still such a fricking midwit
Because you are? Not a drooling idiot, not a genius either. Middling.
IQ is a good metric for how "smart" you are but doesn't really say anything about how productive or original you will be
If I were to guess, it is the environment in which you were raised, happens too often. Intelligent children raised in an environment that does not stimulate them, leaves you lagging behind, just get some interests and stimulate your brain, you will catch up to your intellect.
I know this is IQfy, but I'll be genuine for one post:
It sounds like you're too mentally fragile to succeed at a 1v1 in anything vs. a person without your baggage.
Go lift some weights, build a project, or volunteer for something helpful. Once you improve yourself physically, mentally, or socially you can take that positivity and roll with it.
All people who are good at one thing have found success in other areas. Hyperspecializing results in your entire self worth being tied to one endeavor, and exactly as you say you lose once, get tilted, lose forever.
That doesn't happen to people who are fit, or people who are sociable, or people who are intelligent. The good news is your problem isn't IQ. The bad news is your problem isn't IQ.
