Have you tried reading in 10-page sessions, writing stuff you remember from the session in a journal, and then reading again later on when you feel ready

Get that microsoft edge browser (I use it on linux, not even joking), and use it read out loud feature. It is pretty good and better than anything on chrome + extensions.

Start with simpler and shorter books and when it gets easy just level up.
