Stop making the same thread every day. Lurk moar.
doesn't answer my question suck me
no shit I don't want to use it
>protonmail
botnet, will give out your data to cops
>law-abiding company complies with laws and court orders
like clockwork
https://proton.me/news/protonmail-threat-model
Don't believe the shitposters. There is no such thing as anonymous email. ProtonMail isn't perfect, but it is still a lot better than the alternatives unless you are willing to self-host.
They've literally only given out access logs when ordered by courts. They don't have email access so they can't really give out anything else. They were never exempt from the local authorities. The whole idea was that they were slightly better since they weren't apart of the 14 eyes nations.
protonmail literally gave out data to the CIA what are you talking about idiot
every legitimate business has to comply with lawful orders you troglodyte
frick off with your "legitimate business" bullshit.
you either protect your people's data or don't.
that's not business.
frick off with your "protect peoples data bullshit"
if you had an email service and were given the choice between giving the ip of someone that sent cp or shutting down + 10 years of jailtime, im sure youd keep your promise
no, I'd definetly shut it down instead. I keep my promises unlike others. you are absolutely moronic either way.
there cannot exist a mail service that does this, as it would be forced to shutdown in < a year
too bad, it might and can exist already but no one knows about it.
>swiss authorities are the CIA
?
google shit yourself moron don't make me spoonfeed you
>protonmail literally gave out data to the CIA
swiss authorities aren't the CIA you fricking scumbag piece of dogshit. MURDER YOURSELF. all email providers MUST comply with the law or they are shut down. protonmail is fine, use it, or don't. Any email you use is not anonymous, there's literally no such thing.

homosexual.
>schizo blog
hahahahahaha zoomers are the fricking dumbest generation to exist
>Zoomers
I'm probably older than you, homosexual. There are sources linked throughout. I know you probably need to learn to read first, though.
bot post
bot post
source moron?
this.
So far I believe protonmail has only released info once, because they received a warrant by the Swiss government for something that happened in Switzerland. I believe when other countries ask they get told to frick off as the Swiss laws allow for that.
name an email provider that doesn't need to comply with its country's authorities
Proton is good, but for true privacy consider selfhosting
>gets automatically marked as spam by every major e-mail provider
nothing personal
If you mail someone using a major email provider, they aren't worth your time
>こんばんわ!can i pwease work at your company uwu おねがい *sends cv*
>no response
hm yes not worth my time indeed
i wish i was asian so i could also have the right to respond with a disappointed tone after someone sends me fap material
>just get hacked every 5 mins bro
There is a reason even small email providers have dozens of security engineers. Hosting a secure mail is time consuming and in most cases undoable.
People who recommend self hosting have never done it themselves and dont know how much of a haste it is.
Yeah it's totally impossible to install Debian with automatic security upgrades and install the postfix and dovecot packages. You definitely need a team of 15 people to do that
STOP repeating garbage you probably read on reddit when you clearly have no IRL experience
for some reason theres a breed of people that believes that exposing a service to the internet will result in being hacked immediately unless there are 15 people 24/7 smashing their keyboards to keep the hackers out
>I'm in
imo exposing only the postfix smtpd on a public IP with lmtp to a mail store server only accessible to my endpoints over VPN is enough to make me comfortable
if the postfix box is compromised it will only be able to send some spam or read whatever comes in at that time
if the mail store box is compromised I will eat my own shoes on webcam with a knife and fork
Your logic is dumb.
>yeah i keep my house open, what's the chance of someone trying to rob me?
When you'll be the one getting "robbed" it will all be your fault.
> implies keeping a port open is same as keeping a house open
if you ever find an exploit in postfix, im sure youll have way better uses for it than hacking anons little mail server
>implies
It's more like keeping your window in the backyard open.
No one will try to rob you, but someone might try and that's enough to make me close it.
>Luke Stink
newbies who think they're smart can't shut up about him...
I wonder if he's an evangelist that's a little too loud and all the edgy kids want to be like luke.
>nooo there is only a single email provider

Tutanota is pretty much the better protonmail.
It runs on FOSS and it's very usable and comfy.

finally a suggestion
based Aria poster
>finally
Here to please.
PGPanon seems interesting so i'd give that a try too.
Use your own domain and either self host or set it up with whatever provider you want, moron
Hi gay, guess what?
This has already been said here.
Didn’t read your gay moron thread
posteo.net

mailbox..
Post a PGP public key so I can suggest a few nice email providers in an encrypted message later (I'm not gonna post them publically because IQfy would obviously spam them). And, of course, you have to encrypt your mails with PGP as well.
There is absolutely no reason not to use GMail. Chances are you'll be sending emails to people who use it anyway so you'll already be compromised.
>25% of your mails will be sent to gmail and readable by them
>lets also give them the other 75%
nice blackpill
>gmail is the only compromised service
cope
yes other mail services are also botnets
but if you have your own server, mails will only be compromised by the server you send to
otherwise by the server you send to AND from
in other words, it makes zero difference. just use a normalgay email service. nobody gives a shit about your homosexual emails. if you have anything shady going on don't communicate it by fricking email, use Signal
yes it does, gmail and outlook are different companies
And both are compromised in exactly the same way.
https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/bad-news-yahoo-email-users-004410214.html
Leaks half a billion users over months, hid it after initial discovery. You'll be fine who cares.
>a data breach is the same as giving your data to law enforcement/selling it to advertisers
>autismal email services could never suffer a data breach
0/10
Point being, it does matter. Choose wisely.
I have chosen wisely, and because I'm not an autist, I just use GMail.
I'm happy if you are, a product.
We're all products. You don't escape that with your wiener.li email address. If you use the internet, you are making somebody money. No amount of cope will diminish that fact.
> were constantly being spied on, its so hopeless
> oh god no im not gonna take even the most basic countermeasures, whats the pooooint
> im just gonna use gmail and facebook
> guess theres nothing i can do about it
>oh god no im not gonna take even the most basic countermeasures, whats the pooooint
I literally said to use Signal for anything private rather than email you fricking monumental homosexual. You're only using your autist email service to feel important. Nobody gives a frick about your emails. Nobody.
I understand the "stay in the crowd, be invisible" mentality. It is distasteful to me and we are fortunate to have choices.
I'm trying to explain why, given the nature of email, it's not a choice. It's a placebo to make you feel that bit safer. If anything, those who use autist email services may gain a false sense of security, and unless you're only emailing people with that same autist email address, it's pointless.
if only 1 person u mail uses a private server too, its worth it
No it isn't, because unless you're ordering cheese pizza or working with a cartel, glowies don't give a frick.
its not about glowies, its about google reading through your mail to better target ads to you
>doesn't use an adblocker
>thinks he can avoid targeted ads by using a different email service
https://donottrack-doc.com/
> does use adblocker
> wants to take extra precaution, instead of handing data to google
If you send emails to anyone with a GMail address, they've already got your data.
do you not have any reading comprehension?
theyll only have the data of mails send to gmail users, not all mails which is the case if you use gmail
>theyll only have the data of mails send to gmail users
And those you send to any other large email service such as Outlook, i.e., the vast majority of recipients.
correct, the majority, not all
Fair enough. Have a good day.
>if you have anything shady going on
Some of us just don't want to be milked for data. We dislike with the power that big tech corporations have in this world and decide to boycot them. Even if one single individual may not be concretely impacted, we still want to be *actually* free from external forces that automatically surveil users. We do not want to be paws.
I understand it's not a simple topic, even I have difficulty writing down my thoughts on this topic, also because sometimes I also have doubts on my beliefs. But rejecting privacy with no care? I just can't do that. I need privacy.
>Some of us just don't want to be milked for data.
Disconnect from the internet then.
>We dislike with the power that big tech corporations have in this world and decide to boycot them.
So do I, but I'm not deluded enough to think that boycotting achieves anything.
>we still want to be *actually* free from external forces that automatically surveil users
You're not.
>We do not want to be paws.
You are.
>But rejecting privacy with no care? I just can't do that. I need privacy.
I didn't say anything about rejecting privacy, just that using autismal email services doesn't help you.
I don't understand all this nihilism. I do not think it's realistic at all. You don't need to disconnect from the internet to have privacy: Tor is the greatest example. Is it flawed? Sure. But its flaws don't concern the masses; only real, important targets. And even they could use even better software like Whonix.
Boycotting is important, because if every citizen enters this mindness, great progress would be brought about. Corporations would be forced to respect the new requests from the consumers, who demand quality. Such a mindset would even help solve global warming.
Of course email services alone aren't enough to defend your privacy, those are just a single kind of tool (email is fundamentally insecure though)
protonmail has literally publicly shown that they only release info to the SWISS government when handed a warrant by the SWISS. If you don't live in Switzerland then your government is told to frick off.
protonmail team is composed of fricking morons just look at all their business decisions
muh datacenter in the swiss alps
muh account deletion policy to free up usernames so zoomers can feel special with their three letter Black person name
muh rebranding to .me domain

take your meds
You are hardly helping you cause
please kindly do the needful and go learn to english big sir
Just buy a domain from Gandi and use the email account that comes with it. It takes like 5 minutes to set up, and if someday you want to self host you email, you can always switch without having to change your address.
my boomer father uses protonmail
Tutanota is OK. Cheap and private, at least. Their apps could use work though.
I have Protonmail+ and I regret nothing.
