You were created to burn in hell, sorry. 99% of humanity was made for no other purpose but to burn forever in a lake of fire. This is a good thing.

    Knowledge isn't causal

It's not about knowledge per se, it's about premeditation. If Stalin's mom knew in advance what Stalin would do and still decided to have him, she would be responsible.

Well yes, hell is punitive but everyone gets a chance to worship Jesus. Yes even the Kalahari Bushman. Romans 2 says acting in accordance to conscience is like a nascent faith in Christ.

Ok check this out, in this enviornment that he made he knows all of your last actions and what they can lead to, and your thoughts as well because he created and limited our intellect. So now we must search for him and come out dry from the water, feel me.
There is nothing you can do or think of that he isn't aware of, but it is your choice to choose a path, you are free to choose your way.

This is why we say Christianity is a way, it is a way of life. You make the choice to walk the narrow path.

Omnipotent beings can make two contradictory things true simultaneously. God can put you in charge yet also be in charge himself because.. he just can okay?

Life isn't about "fault". That's some petty shit. When a bear attacks me do I try to figure out whether the bear is "morally at fault" or not? No. I defend myself because it's endangering me.

There's no contradiction between knowing what choice a agent will make looking at an event outside of time and the agent making the choice in real-time.

If there's only one possible way it could've gone. Then it's not a choice.

The omnipotent one is outside of time, so it doesn't go anyway for him, it just is. Inside of time, you make choices as they come at you. That God knows doesn't change that you are making your decisions.

You didn't say anything in contradiction like you seem to think you did.

I can record the super bowl, and then watch it so I know what every player does. If I watch it again, this doesn't all of a sudden mean that I controlled the players or it's my fault what they did. You're not making any logical sense.

How do you know what the ending of the Super Bowl is gonna be before it happens though?

Not him, but there is no 'before it happens' for God. He created time and sees everything, beginning to end, in totality, and simultaneously.

            >How do you know what the ending of the Super Bowl is gonna be before it happens though?
I don't, that's why I would have to have knowledge of it first. Once I have knowledge of what happens, you tell me then I must be the one controlling the choices of others. Which doesn't make any sense at all.

Alright let's get rid of mental hospitals and the insanity defense. "No you can't do that. Those people aren't responsible for their actions. They're just doing what their brains make them do". We're all doing what "our brains make us do". How much serotonin/dopamine/whatever is needed or not needed before free will stops and starts existing?

            Anonymous

One's attraction to serotonin and dopamine does not give them the 100% inability to choose against obtaining it. A person could always just kill themselves, for instance. If they had no free will in the matter because of serotonin, then it wouldn't be possible to head off the situation by killing yourself.

    >Me: Everything I did was because of the brain I was born with and the family and society I was born into. Everything I did can be explained by biological determinism, behaviorism, and sociology therefore I'm not actually "responsible" for anything I did in my life because there's literally only one way it could've gone. Good or bad. It can all be explained by causality and antecedence. There is no "me". Choice is a lie. Free will is a lie. There is only causality.

    >God: Uhhh ummm something something quantum mechanics. Muh Heisenberg uncertainty principle. Muh emergent properties. Muh Gödel's incompleteness theorem. You're being a heckin reductionist. I win. Neener neener neener!

I think you're a fricking loser and your beliefs are just a very convenient way to absolve yourself of your shitty life choices. They serve double duty in giving you more reasons you should just give up and not try. You needed more.
I can't help but believe that because of my brain, family and the society I was born into. There's only one way I could have gone.
