>it's failures who are the TRUELY good people in society
yes? good honest people get fricked, always
*tips fedora*
what does this even mean? Christianity says this multiple times, whether you believe that you will go to heaven for being good or not. Are you calling me an edgelord? It's a fact. I know plenty of very rich, successful people and all of them have cheated and scammed their way to every penny and achievement they possess. They have manners and they are nice but dig a little bit and they're all thieves. The only case where they fail is when they're literally too stupid to scam and cheat and they fall prey to other evil people. Being truly honest and having true integrity instead of just putting up a show gets you fricked in the ass 100% of the time. and that was the case even before this era where being a psychopath is considered a desirable trait
>it's failures who are the TRUELY good people in society
This is the fundamental issue of our age.
The survival of the fittest meme made people believe socipathy was desirable. Turns out it's moronic, that's why altruistic empathy evolved in that exact system people are appealing to as the guide telling them to be sociopaths.
The greatest military leaders in history were all relatively merciful and empathetic compared to most in similar positions. Despite it being completely counter to reality our pop media still portrays everything but sociopathy as weakness. When they try to promote any kind of goodness it tends to come across naive and/or fake which just reinforces the cynicism of the population.
Anyone who's ever stepped foot outside of their house can confirm this yet gays in here will deny it. Top kek. They hated him because he spoke the truth
Wow! Thankfully, "easy" admits of only one, unproblematic and universally acknowledged definition, so this is a solid argument--thanks Anon!
(But no for real I get your point)
being a bad person will make you succeed in our modern society
oh yes it's failures who are the TRUELY good people in society! you sound like a fricking leftist.

There is no such thing as a bad person, Anon, only a person capable of bad things. 😀
Then why do some people do bad things more often than others?
lack of neanderthal admixture
I don't have a brain and my head is filled with concrete.
Wow! Thankfully, "bad" admits of only one, unproblematic and universally acknowledged definition, so this is a solid argument--thanks OP!
Seriously though, more like: If you read easy books, your head will be filled with easy thoughts, and you will be a boring person--infinitely worse

Define "bad".
This is true. I started reading Mishima and now all I wish to do is start bumming physically fit young men then kill myself
If you read cat books your head will be filled with cat thoughts, leading you to become a cat person.
