What is your interpretation of Ephesians 6:5?

We have to obey our employers even if we don't like it because this way we bring glory to Jehovah in our workplace by being trustworty and hardworking !

Why did Rebbe Sha'ul of Tarsus believe in a different Rebbe Yeshua ben Yosef than the later israeli authors of the gospels did?

Thta's not true, Paul preached the same gospel as the other apostles

What does one have to believe to be saved? Can the mentally moronic be saved or are they doomed to damnation?

      Anonymous

      >What does one have to believe to be saved?

To gain salvation, you must exercise faith in Jesus and demonstrate that faith by obeying his commands.—Acts 4:10, 12; Romans 10:9, 10; Hebrews 5:9

      >Can the mentally moronic be saved or are they doomed to damnation?

Granted, at present we may not know how Jehovah will resolve this issue.

He will do so, however, in a righteous and merciful way !!

We should NEVER doubt that ٩(◕‿◕。)۶

In fact, we may be amazed and delighted to observe him resolve them in a way that we never even considered !

Rebbe Sha'ul believed in and wrote about a celestial Rebbe Yeshua ben Yosef, not a historical person

Jesus is both celestial and historical !

      Is usury a sin?
Can I claim to tear the holy spirit's bussy asunder and still get into heaven? Because I did.

The Christian scriptures don't explicitly forbid or allow it, however in the OT interest was not to be charged to an Israelite brother where there was a need.

Economic reverses could have caused temporary needs for clothing or food. Leviticus 25:37 states, “You must not give him your money on interest, and you must not give your food out on usury.”

        >Jesus is both celestial and historical
Contradiction. Rebbe Yeshua was historical insofar as other mythical figures like Moses were. But there was no man named Yeshua with magic powers walking about doing spells.

What sort of church should a faithful Christian attend?

What are your thoughts on Isaiah 54:17?

History confirms that nothing that Satan’s world can do will ever put a stop to the worship of Jehovah God by his dedicated servants !!!

Satan always tried to use the government to persecute Jehovah's witnesses.

He tried with Pharaoh in the 16th century BC
He tried with Nero in the 1st century AD
He tried with Hitler during the 20th century AD
He tries with Putin right now

but Jehovah always protects his people !

      >Jesus is both celestial and historical
Contradiction. Rebbe Yeshua was historical insofar as other mythical figures like Moses were. But there was no man named Yeshua with magic powers walking about doing spells.

He is historical because he existed !
Jesus is divine, he came from heaven and is the Son of God, REINCARNATED as a human.

A single angel can wipe out 185 000 sleeping Assyrians. Let's call this morning star power. How much morning star power does a single iron chariot have and is there an iron chariot morning star power multiplier for every fourscore?

Their fear is of little importance when there's no canonical power scaling.

That would be great news for iron chariot power scaling but trinitarians won't allow for anything less than confusion.

What is actually meant by blasphemy against the holy spirit being an unforgivable sin? The usual explanation of "oh it just means that if you deny your ability to be saved by the holy spirit then you obviously can't be saved" seems like tautological bullshit used to sidestep an otherwise problematic passage. The most straightforward interpretation would seem to be that if you say something blasphemous about the holy spirit, now you're going to hell no matter how much you regret it or repent for it later. Is there any convincing reason to prefer the former explanation over the latter, beyond the latter seeming uncharacteristically strict in what otherwise presents itself as a religion of forgiveness?

It emanates from the heart, revealing a malicious attitude and intent. The purposeful intent to oppose God’s holy spirit intensifies the seriousness of this sin

We should be careful not to think that this could never happen to us.

JUDAS ISCARIOT commited the unforgivable sin ! He was once a faithful follower of Jesus. He was chosen as one of the 12 apostles, so he must have had good qualities. But at some point he began to let wicked thoughts and desires grow, and they eventually OVERTOOK him.

during the period of time he was an eyewitness of Jesus’ incredible miracles, he was stealing money. Then, for money, he knowingly betrayed the Son of God.

Some people who were once faithful Christians have purposely drawn away from God, perhaps because of bitterness, pride, or greed, and are now apostate fighters against God’s spirit. They willfully oppose what the spirit is clearly accomplishing.

      God can love himself

Think about it: A solitary god cannot be love. He may learn to love. He may yearn for love. But he cannot in himself be love, since love requires an object. Real love requires relationship. In the doctrine of the Trinity we finally see how love is part of the fabric of creation; it’s essential to the eternal, need-nothing Creator.

Why doesn't god simply reveal himself in a way that isn't vague and easily misunderstood? If it was clear or abnormal enough you'd probably convince a lot more people. I ask it in this specific ways because I know he technically 'reveals' himself, but those often do not suffice.

No you see. Its because of something something free will. It NEEDS to be so deliberately obscure that 99 percent of people misunderstand it.

Even if he did, what would it change ?

He revealed himself to Egypt, Israel and Canaan and they still worshipped pagan idols !

      God is LOVE

God loved HIMSELF before He created others !

      >Jehovah
Are you allowed to say that word?

      Humans all have personal names.

Wouldn’t it be reasonable for God to have a name ?

Having and using personal names is a vital part of human friendships. Should it be different when it comes to our friendship with God ?

In the Bible, God says: “I am Jehovah. That is my name.” (Isaiah 42:8)

        >God loved Himself
My brother, Thats not what Love is. True love includes both giving and receiving. Jehovah (according to the JW view) had no equal to love and no one to give him love in return. But Love requires another equal person. It seems a God with no one to love means either God was desperate or loveless. Neither qualifies as a true God of love.
        >But God IS love
Since the Bible says “God is love” (1 John 4:8), how is Jehovah a loving God when before creation he is all alone without someone to love? When you knock on people’s doors as a JW, as im sure you do (bless your heart), do you tell people Jehovah is a loving God? What if they ask how? It is OK if you don’t know. Ask the leaders at the Watchtower.

          Simple, Jehovah is self sufficient

He doesn't need us to love, He wants to share His love with us for our benefit !

            Anonymous

            >He doesnt need us to love
Yea, verily, God is love indeed and I make no claim that creation was needed to fulfill this nature of God ever and let the Father be a witness to that.
            >He wants to share His love with us for our benefit!
            Very much so for the Lord is a personal God. He knows us and we too can know and walk Him but it begs the serious question again;
"How can God be all-loving in eternity before time and creation?"

            Simply put,
            Love is relational, my brother.
Non-trinitarian conceptions of God—a supreme, perfect being without needs—put him in a position of lacking someone to love and therefore requiring his creation for fulfillment.

            Jehovah doesn't just possess llove

He is the PERSONIFICATION of it !

He did not need other people to be all-loving, he love of self was sufficient

It was not that he was lonely and needed companionship. Jehovah is complete and self-contained, lacking nothing that someone else might supply

But his love, an active quality, naturally moved him to want to share the JOYS of LIFE with intelligent creatures who could appreciate such a GIFT !!!

        >He revealed himself in Egypt
        Hahaha. No.
Just coping around that fact. If god revealed himself, made it clear that he is the creator in a way everyone can understand, told people about what he would like them to do and told them whst awaits them 99 percent of people would be christian and you know that.
