I'm trying to play the NOD campaign on DosBox, every time I get to mission 2 this happens. How can I fix this?
The GDI campaign works fine. The game is started by running c&c.bat which contains

This is the CD contents. Like I said it works for GDI
Red Alert seems to be structured similarly, however in that case there's ALLIES.BAT and SOVIET.BAT and you run either to load the right CD. But with C&C only one BAT file is there
Red Alert BATS look like this, you get the same message if you use the wrong CD and try to load the mission from the opposite faction
But in C&C there's only one BAT file and only one CD. I'm sure whoever packed the game wasn't a moron, so why does only the GDI campaign work? I can't figure it out
Are you sure the game rip has correct data? Could be accidentally having two copies of the same disk.
Try getting an alternative copy from other site or perhaps from archive.org.
Looks like the original came on two CDs, I'm downloading both now
Ok works now, apparently someone packed the game with the GDI CD only

It works now with the downloaded CDs, I just made the BAT files do C&C -CDCDNOD and C&C-CDCDGDI
One thing I still don't understand though, look at the filesizes. The CD that was originally there has a bigger filesize, which might mean it packs both GDI and NOD data, but for some reason only the GDI campaign works with it

Right, wouldn't the "CD" version contain both NOD and GDI then. I have no idea if the original came on 1 or 2 CDs? Maybe it varied between releases?
C&C had a file with a fake huge size on the disc to make it challenging to burn copies at the time

Use dosbox staging for sweet ass CRT filters.
The latest version has them on by default and it emulates double scanline as proper by its own.
