I have a Boox Note Air 3 b/w and I trust the chinks far more than google. It has made reading the Gushing for Magical Girls manga rather enjoyable and you don't have to register with any account for the machine to work. Just load up your files and you are good. You can even leave the wifi off and have no network connection.
