Not sure I follow. I read the whole thing and see it talked about in Church. That has had an immense influence on me. I look to the Church Fathers for scriptural interpretation of things I am not sure about

Not at all, given that you aren't supposed to interpret it, you are supposed to read the Church's Catechism which is the one correct interpretation of it.
