What's so crazy is that she quite literally writes out the sexual abuse and trauma she's experienced throughout her life and people wonder why she ended up rejecting her identity and femininity. This is the same, almost identical experience of any young woman that transitions. They're abused or sexualized from a young age, continually reinforcing this internal image that the reason they're targeted for sex abuse is because they're a woman. They reject their femininity because it's the source of their problems. They want to run away from that life and take on a new identity, and it's really sad.
