Saddest part is that you're not even paid to shill while Alphabet makes billions successfully monopolizing all aspects of the web AND being the israelites you consent to give your data to. Cuck.
You're all zoomer c**ts here, but I remember when MSIE had 90-something% of the browser market which allowed Microsoft to give zero fricks about w3c standards and instead forcing their own, absolutely terrible de facto standards by simply implementing them in the IE. This is Google's endgame, except they also control a massive chunk of global web traffic.
I'm also old enough to remember when Chrome first came out and they tried to force it down everyone's throats on every single page of every single Google service, which is how it got its critical mass in the first place.
not even userscripts work on this bullshit. undiscord doesn't work, a lot of normalgays sites break down. it's just a waste of time. firefox containers where the only reason i had a use for it. but they have no tab groups (WITH NO COOKIE ISOLATION). i just use chrome profiles now. this is bullshit man firefox is lost >inb4 discord Black person
game is game irl frens use it idrc being cool on the internet because some fa/g/s don't approve
If they would just add dark mode Firefox would be the perfect browser.

My main complaint with Firefox is that extensions tend to be months if not YEARS out of date compared to the Chrome versions.
My secondary complaint is that hardware acceleration is hit or miss. Sure it does work, but it doesn't feel faster than Chrome at best (benchmarks can prove it) and at worst you get shit that crashes a tab.
Why would I do that when I have the Facebook app? I don't need to cherry pick the shittiest most bloated example of a website to try to make my mobile browser shit itself. I'm only going to use things like that on my PC which will do a much better job handling them. Phone browser is for light shitposting and other menial tasks. Firefox for Android plus uBlock Origin is more than enough for my needs.

>Why would I do that when I have the Facebook app
For the adblock?
Because installed apps can scan your phone?
Because the Facebook app specifically was caught injecting their own certificates to perform a mitm attack and read users encrypted traffic, not just within the app but all traffic on their phone.
I dunno I wasn't expecting a Firefox user to actually have Facebook.
try a chrome based browser on android for like 5 minutes and you'll see what i mean. im using cromite right now and everything loads so much faster and feels a lot smoother when scrolling and switching pages
NTA, but I can't use Cromite because the guy who forked it from Bromite refuses to support Android 6. So I'm stuck with Firefox for the foreseeable future.
>switching pages
No, that's the main performance thing chrome sucks at. Tabs are hardcoded to load lazily and in an effort to save VRAM it constantly re-compiles textures from the DOM. Otherwise yeah chrome is way faster and smoother.
No, you're presumably thinking of Apple. Every browser on iOS is just using WebKit and so Firefox for iOS is just some Firefox-branded shell around Safari essentially.
You guys need to learn to be more cheeky : when a website doesn't work on firefox or whatever software you use, send an e-mail to the webmaster to complain. Complaining works way more often than you would think.
No I wouldn't say that. I have ublock origin, a dns sinkhole for ads, arkenfox user.js, and a bunch of settings changed. I'm surprised it isn't more broken.
Occasionally a site doesn't load correctly and I just exit and forget about it.
>Is it just me
it's literally just you, moron >or is this becoming unusable on a huge amount of websites now?
notice how you don't name the websites? name them and I will prove to you that it's just you, moron. NAME THEM. notice how you won't?
i keep getting "unbloock challengs.cloudflare.net" or whatever the website is when i try to come here. not sure whats causing it to be bloicked but it only happens in firefox
My only problem(from a list of problems actually) with Firefox is many of my bank sites and several business sites really hate Firefox for some reason. Usually its just if you don't update Firefox after a certain period, they get pissy and either block you or the site breaks however, no other browser has this problem and I don't mean not updating Firefox for years but just a few months. Too many times I see sites do something like
>"Your browser is either out of date or not one of the preferred browsers. Please use one of our preferred web browsers or Update Firefox to the latest version" >Fire up old windows 7 PC that hasn't had updates since it was installed >Open up Internet Explorer 11 >Go to the same link >Site works perfectly with 0 error messages
I have no clue what certain sites have against Firefox to where an outdated browser like Internet Explorer gets the "OK" while Firefox needs to be updated within a certain time period ie, few months.
Report them to webcompat.com, a site ran by Mozilla to keep Firefox functioning on as many sites as possible.
Firefox devs are aware of discrimination by Chrome-brained developers and you should defend your right to use Firefox. I've had to argue with Tesco to keep using Firefox on their site. But even though I use Firefox on as many sites as possible I had to concede defeat for adobeconnect.com as Firefox itself doesn't support all the features on it.
We're living in a world where a "hello world" website requires downloading and evaluating 3MB of JavaScript in 16 files served from 11 different domains (8 of which are botnet), so that it can make 7 XHR requests to further 5 different domains (4 of which are botnet), so that it can assemble and render '<p>hello world</p>' piece of HTML.
100% of problems I encounter with some sites on Firefox are caused by either: >FF resisting botnet and blocking some of those requests >FF actually adhering to CORS policies and blocking some of those requests >FF resisting fingerprinting and angering the botnet which then refuses to serve some of those requests
Friendly reminder that if you say "frick it, I'll just use Chrome", you're only exacerbating the problem.
my problem with FF is video playing related
for example, it stopped playing vids on R34 a few months ago
i didn't update, so it's not like a new release bricked it
it just got fricked on it's on
brave on the other hands has no issues on the same websites where FF struggles with vids
its really fricking annoying, but im just so used to using FF at this point
For some reason it FF started to frick with my sound output? Like it all low bitrate AND BWBWBWBWBWBWy I don't know what the issue is. It fricks discord too when it happens but the moment I close firefox it's gone. Anybody knows whats up???
"As to Rust, there’s a lot of it in Gecko. Tokei counts 1.8 million lines of Rust code in the mozilla-central repository. (This includes crates.io and git dependencies, since Gecko uses cargo vendor to keep them in-tree.) Compare with 11.4 millions lines of C and C++ together. Parts of this are two Rust components that come from Servo: Stylo (aka Quantum CSS) and WebRender (aka Quantum Render). WebRender is not yet enabled by default on Android, but might be soon."
This is what made me switch. I've tried to switch a couple times but always gave up after less than 24 hours. Haven't looked back. I will not use the new chrome UI and all the chromium forks are worse.
I've been using FF exclusively since it replaced NN too, but it didn't replace it directly, AFAIR. First was a NN-based browser called Mozilla which was slow and bloated as frick from what I remember. Then there was a small and fast Mozilla fork called Phoenix which was pretty cool. That then got forked (or maybe just rebranded) to Firebird, and that got later rebranded to Firefox for some reason.
Then Google made Chrome and was shilling it on every page of their search engine, gmail, maps and all of their services (they didn't have youtube yet) which was so fricking irritating that I decided then and there that I will never use it, and I never did.
Works on all sites on my machine
saddest part is that you are not even paid to shill. at least mozzila getting paid millions by israelites to steal your data. cucks
I shill nothing anon. If you're happy using the botnet browser you can keep it.
Saddest part is that you're not even paid to shill while Alphabet makes billions successfully monopolizing all aspects of the web AND being the israelites you consent to give your data to. Cuck.

Frick them.
Yes, fine you got your tower insurance. Frick off.
I haven't had any more issues than normal in the last year, which is to say "very very rarely".
Low caste hands typed this smelly post.
mozzila getting paid millions by israelites to steal your data
True?
Your picrel is a cuck license.
i bet you voed to trump
I'll VO to pretty much anything
Just you. If anything it's notably better than the 2019 slump.

I don't know what this unidiscord homosexualry is that you think you need but discord works fine in Firefox on my machine.
Not old enough to post here. I don't even understand half of the zoomerspeak you're spewing.
You can't inb4 your own post, newbie

chatgpt reply
chatgpt cant do webm related
>hardware acceleration is hit or miss
On Windows, I never noticed a difference between FF and Chrome. On Linux, Firefox is fricking leagues better.
Shalom
These days every browser is trash, I don't care anymore, the only reason I use firefox is because I'm used to it
Just you. Works fine on my machine.
there are good firefox forks for desktop at least. firefox on android is unusable its slow and sluggish and wastes so much battery
I am using Firefox for Android right now to post this. It's perfectly usable.
Try a local restaurant's Facebook page.
Why would I do that when I have the Facebook app? I don't need to cherry pick the shittiest most bloated example of a website to try to make my mobile browser shit itself. Adblock doesn't do shit on Faceboomer

Aren't all browsers on Android just chrome webviews with custom menus?
Pretty sure Firefox uses their own engine.
No, you're thinking of iOS and Safari. In Android's case not even WebView and Chrome share any libraries at runtime.
No, you're presumably thinking of Apple. Every browser on iOS is just using WebKit and so Firefox for iOS is just some Firefox-branded shell around Safari essentially.
here
That said, obviously basically every browser that isn't Firefox or Safari IS chromium-based, from Edge to Brave to Opera.
Went downhill years ago when pozzilla became a DEI farm
Huge amount of websites yet no one has mentioned jack shit.
Yeah cause im too busy fricking your mom b***h
Because browser shitposting is never serious and they had no actual reason to post this thread.
Just like Windows constantly breaking Linux bootloaders
>name one scenario
crickets.swf
>post one bug report
tumbleweed.rpm
>let’s make the webbrowser do desktop application stuff
and now we’re here
Literally just works in every site, the frick you're doing poojet?
I've noticed some sites not work with Firefox, but it's very rare, and 100% of those sites were garbage even when they worked.
Turns out that having to support more than one browser is just a webshit skill check.
You guys need to learn to be more cheeky : when a website doesn't work on firefox or whatever software you use, send an e-mail to the webmaster to complain. Complaining works way more often than you would think.
It doesn't work anymore because webshits are whiny homosexuals. These days they'll just straight up tell you to use Chrome.
No I wouldn't say that. I have ublock origin, a dns sinkhole for ads, arkenfox user.js, and a bunch of settings changed. I'm surprised it isn't more broken.
Occasionally a site doesn't load correctly and I just exit and forget about it.
I only use firefox and have no frame of reference for performance or compatibility. I remain ignorant and accept my fate.

It went downhill once they started rewriting core parts in rust. Do not give rust trannies an inch.
"As to Rust, there’s a lot of it in Gecko. Tokei counts 1.8 million lines of Rust code in the mozilla-central repository. WHY WHY WHY WHY ARE THEY DOING THIS WHY ARE THEY TYRING TO FORCE THE NEW UI??? I HATE THE NEW UI
This is what made me switch. I've tried to switch a couple times but always gave up after less than 24 hours. Haven't looked back. I will not use the new chrome UI and all the chromium forks are worse.
The new UI will be the reason I switch.

>rebranded to Firefox for some reason
Firebird was already being used by a database engine.
