Is learning Roman Law any good in order to improve knowledge on law?

Given the fact that many western law traditions come from Roman culture.

No. Read Thomas's Textbook of Roman Law in conjunction with Gaius's Institutes and Justinian's Institutes.

No, not really to help in court. Just like to have at least above average knowledge on law. Know basic procedures, processes and etc.

Sure. But do get a modern textbook, or something to look at. Roman law can be a good case study but most of our Roman legal culture we have from law codes comes from the 4th century onwards which was a different legal field from say the time of Cicero and the Republic. If you live in America, Australia, the UK and so on than you should look at how common law works. The Roman Republic is closer in this regard to the Later Empire as the Roman Jury existed in the Republic but the Later Empire, law was done by professional Judges without a jury.

The great tragedy of the west is being based on the Roman culture. A more barbaric, decadent, bloodthirsty, unrefined and uncultured people have hardly existed. They should have started and remained with the Greeks.

The Justinian codex from Byzantium is the basis for most of modern law except the degenerate deviations. It is nested in the Eastern Orthodox worldview.
