In my experience you need something on the large side. I have a boox note air 3 b/w and it is fantastic for PDF scans of books and manga as it is 10.3 inches. They also have a color variant but as I read text for the most part I didn't think it was worth the extra $200.

I use the reading feature on an iPad. Plus it means you can easily get all the book files free

Not sure if it’s as simple with a kindle

Should I get boox or is it a chink israelite scam? It looks better than kindle and kobo

It has better software, for sure. Screen panel is subpar compared to Kindle's and Kobo's, and they are usually overpriced plus they ping back to chinese servers once in a while unless you know how to block it.
Pick your poison, I guess. I like kindle and kobo screen, but the ability to install Tachiyomi already made getting a Boox worth it for me.

          >they ping back to chinese servers
Honestly speaking, what are they going to do with that information? I'd rather have someone from another city know my internet password than my neighbor. Though looking at it from another perspective, it doesn't matter since they probably trade, or sell your information to each other.

The only manga I've ever read was an adaptation of At the Mountains of Madness. I liked it, honestly, but I think the appeal was the original subject matter paired with the exceptional illustrations. I wasn't converted or anything. Honestly for the very most part I think Asians and their culture are very infantile and I feel quite a bit of contempt whenever I see a fricking Honda or Tesla driving down the street with the dash and rear windshield filled with plushies of anime characters or when I hear the titterings of Azns when asked things like "why is my food late?" or "how the frick did you hit a parked car?" They are an inherently unserious race.

Are you actually moronic? lol. That's like saying that the entirety of Swedish culture is Ikea and Minecraft. Culture is made up of a variety of factors, like language, food, music, art, literature, religion, festivals/holidays, customs, traditions, history, folklore, clothes, architecture, philosophy, values, and so on. Even the youngest country would have some sort of culture, whether rich or not. The sheer audacity of dismissing an entire continent's worth of culture over thousands of years old is laughable. Pick up a history book, please.

Luuul. Ditto, buddy. All the East Asian countries were Year Zero'd. All their culture is max 50 years old.

manga on ereaders doesnt work, in the first place because you can't really find the files (pdf, epub, whatever) of manga in the first place. Maybe I've been looking in the wrong places? like the other guy says, an ipad is probably superior, because the screen quality is a lot higher too. (e-ink doesnt really work that well for images).
To answer your other question, manga really isn't lit. Doesn't mean it's completely worthless, but the visual aspect is the most important part, the text is only secondary.
The only manga I consider high quality (not just cartoons) is Uzumaki, that really does something unique, and some of his short stories. I really like Kaiji but the pacing is so poor that I can't call it high quality. I've been looking for other manga with the same high quality, serious stuff, I'll probably give bereserk another try (I stopped after like 20 pages because it was too cringe and gay and didn't look like it was going anywhere).

lol, where on earth have you been looking?

Berserk is highly popular for a reason, oh it has problems but its a good story and the art is top-notch. I would certainly recommend to at least to read up until Lost Children arc. Its not everyones cup of tea for sure.

        Just your average itoddler brain.

I have an ereader. I'm just not really that into manga to actually put time into searching for it, so I just read it online from my pc.

Been wanting to get the complete hardbound set but my autism just won't let me until its either completed or absolutely, finally declared dead lol.

I also mostly read online on my pc or on the train scrolling through the latest trashy stuff with kotatsu on my phone.
I only got some stuff I like downloaded if I'm stuck somewhere with no internet.

reading sideloaded manga on a kindle is agony. I tried once, about 8 years ago. It's probably changed since then, but it's just not worth the trouble. comics and manga are pc/tablet exclusive, as far as I'm concerned.
