Is picrel a instagram girl meme? Or is it genuinely good?
I really need that kind of mindset, because I am a constant overthinker who never stops worrying. But the title and cover look a bit cringe.
I'm reading 48 Laws of Power and really enjoying that.

there must be hundreds of self help books with frick in the title, absolute slop
>The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck
>Unfu*k Yourself: Get Out of Your Head and Into Your Life
>You Are A Badass: How To Stop Doubting Your Greatness And Start Living An Awesome Life
>F*ck Feelings: One Shrink's Practical Advice for Managing All Life's Impossible Problems
>Everything Is F*cked: A Book About Hope
I recently saw a self-proclaimed feminist reading this book. "Feminist" as in "reposts instagram quotes about strong womyn" not "reads Virginia Woolf or Sylvia Plath". She's incredibly rude in the workplace and I have a nagging feeling that she uses the persona of feminism to justify her entitled and selfish actions.
It was one of the first self help books I read. The title is clickbait and the author has admitted it many times. It's a good entry book to basic life philosophy and values. I re-read it a few years after my initial reading and ended up disagreeing with half the points, but when I first read it, it made perfect sense to me.
>Everything Is F*cked: A Book About Hope
This one was pretty interesting
>This one was pretty interesting
No it wasn't. It was just him rambling about the shit he read. I read both his post-Models books and this one is even more disjointed than the first. Hell, even Models is mostly shit stolen from PUAs.
>she uses the persona of feminism to justify her entitled and selfish actions.
Based überfrau
48 laws is the apex
Mastery is also very good
I haven't read Human Nature yet, haven't finished seduction but the archetypes in the middle of Seduction is maybe the most insightful few pages ever not discussed
anything with obscenity is made for morons by morons
>woah dude, I read auerilius and he's totally like shaquiel o neal
Black folk
>weak effeminate people who overuse the word "frick" to emphasise every point they make
Makes my skin crawl.
>the title and cover look a bit cringe
you will be cringe if you go around living out this philosophy
>the subtle art of being a r*dditor
It's just a phsycholoogy dude swearing to be le relatable
> he is swearing he muust be telling the truth!! wow off to quote it on leddit
It's not the worst shit in the world but it's pretty insubstantiail. If you're going to read something ultra popular just jump ahead to Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. There's one guy on this board who really hates that book but ignore him, it's bretty good.
just check the authors youtube, he's fine, would -probably did- fit in well here. if you're making threads like this sure it'll prob do you good.
so what if it's aggressive marketing, hate the game, not the proxy consumers in your head
It's a bad book unironically. It doesn't have a cohesive message. It won't make you not give a frick. Read fricking Hagakure or something.
how moronic and/or pseud did you have to be to miss the point of the #1 normie self help book
It's okay, learned some things
Read Atomic Habits next
any book with FRICK in the title is reddit tier NATUREISFRICKINGLIT NEXTFRICKINGLEVEL HOTWIVESFRICKINGFORBERNIE
I have this book and i read it but i can't really remember shit from it other then "Just don't try" which is unironically the best advice this book gives despite not needing to read an entire book to learn this.
read by people who care an unhealthy amount about what other people think of them
Swearing for no reason is a sign of incredible stupidity
If you constantly overthink and worry look into whether you have maladapted perfectionism. Give this book a spin. It's helped me a lot. The woman who wrote it has years of research experience so it's not some popsci book like your picture
that looks nice. this place would be much better if all these wayward anons did some introspective heartwork, just one of these types of books among all the philosophical questing - seems a lot find themselves seeking 'truth' or 'answers' but often really they're searching for descriptions or 'the question' that maps onto their jumble of inarticulate feelings
Back in the day I read one blogpost from this dude. He describes himself as a "thinker" and the post was about how is not like the other girls, because he had a vacation and read a BIG FRICKING BOOK like WAR AND PEACE on a white pristine beach, not like the normies who go there to, like, have fun.
He also went on about working 4 hours a week and being your own boss IIRC. Peak idiocy
the nth book cashing on young people narcissism
>I'm reading 48 Laws of Power and really enjoying that.
you're a meme
