Is there a way to download a torrent, add metadata to the music files, share it with soulseek all while seeding the original untouched files?

Is there a way to download a torrent, add metadata to the music files, share it with soulseek all while seeding the original untouched files? If I add metadata to then, the hash will not match the torrent and will not be able to seed. Is it possible to do with some sort of overlay fs or something? I don't want to duplicate the files.

hardlinks allow you to rename the files but any file modification will change the hash and you'll be unable to keep seeding.
IMO if you're reupping to slsk, frick the torrent - don't bother seeding files with shit metadata or torrents with fricked organisation. fix it, share the fix.

the poor cat is owned by a Chinese social media content farm
it's deeply traumatized and gets abused on the regular by its bug owners

            to add to this
the cat is called Meimei, the bugs "found" her on the street, pregnant and with all its teeth missing from abuse (it totally wasn't them, they rescued her... surely...)
            she's 7 or 8 years old

frick morons who never owned a cat.
if the cat were abused they wouldn't even able to touch or hold it like that even if they tie up all its 4 limbs.

You will duplicate the files. And big storage will laugh and collect your money.

use btrfs. copies of files take up no space.

it wouodn't be a copy. Some leading Bytes would be different

I am assuming you would make a copy of the filed then fix the metadata. The new files would only use space equal to the changes needed for the metadata (which should be negligible).

i know that pain, i have ~1.5TiB of music i'm seeding right now.
The only way i know of is reflinks, which only some filesystems support: XFS, btrfs, ZFS.
I have ZFS but am too scared to use reflinks, as it is a very recent feature.

I'd pay a good amount of money for some sort of kernel addon that watched for file and directory renaming and updated the corresponding data in qBittorrent. Double that money if it worked with containerized qBittorrent. Having to use qBittorrent as a shitty file manager is a drag.
