You seem to miss the point. You cannot quickly access the queue and player from the app. This is a major flaw. It should be like most podcast players where the bottom bar is a player bar, and when tapped should bring up the classic controls (thumbnail, scrub bar, media controls, speed controls, skip silence, etc) I should not have to navigate to my android menu and to access an inaccessible page in the fricking app I am literally in.

I considered building a flac library but my headphones are cheap and I only listen to music in the day to drown out my moronic co-workers and their idiot conversation. I am not spending £200+ on good headphones and then limiting myself to whatever I have happened to download to my phone at that time.

Both brave (maybe chromium too) and firefox support background play. In some cases they need to be manually enabled in the settings.

They can't kill vanced you morons, for youtube its like a traditional client, they supported their old ass app that live on phones and ancient smart tv for years
you could not play videos through newpipe after a simple API update, and vanced is not being updated, it wont make much difference.
They only detect and kill conections for apps that try to download videos.
They can't update the API for a simple client watching, how hard is this to understand?
They support ancient shit for 8 years, so Vanced will probably work for that long.
