I've been a Cubase user for more than 10 years and nothing can really compete but I've been using Bitwig more and more.

it's literally the most streamed line and tealored experience. it's the apple of daws even compared to apple's on fricking daw. It's the normiest of daws.
The most autistic daw is probably bitwig because or fl studio because of how open tinkerers they are.
I like Bitwig. Very fluid and natural interface, unique Grid mechanic, clean UI, great performance, doesn't hang on a crash, and so on. It's not super cheap, but it goes on sale periodically and allows endless no-save demos. I guess you can pirate it too. I moved to it from FL after being tired of a horribly dated UI and crashing, and never looked back. Dev team seems responsive and helpful too.
Propellerhead Reason is my go-to for 15 years. It powerful.
