Is this genuinely the best browser for windows right now? >fast as frick

Is this genuinely the best browser for windows right now?

>fast as frick
>easy to select features like reading pages aloud in a multitude of well-rendered voices
>collections, split screen, vertical tabs
>lightweight and efficient
>the entire chrome web suite if you want it
>memory saving tabs
>runs in background so always quick to launch
>copilot a click away
>can easily disable any microsoft features you don't want

The only thing I dislike about it is how fricking ugly it looks, but a simple theme solves most of that issue

huh ? what are you talking about ? i use any browser that works
im just saying you should be ashamed of yourself for using win7/10/11
you should be using windows 8.1, it's like a console os built on win7 which is really vista

I really don't see the benefit over any other Chromium-based browser. I use it at work and it just feels clunky. I'd rather use Chromium or even Vivaldi. Hell, I've been trying Arc for Windows and I prefer it over Edge. Arc unironically handles vertical tabs the best out of any browser.

It was good until it started getting in the way of my formatting shortcuts. Want strikethrough text on Slack? Nope. You get Edge's voice reader. Want to use Ctrl + Shift + U to format text with a hyperlink? Sure pal, but Edge is gonna move your element focus to the URL bar so you can't just tab to the next element like you've been used to doing for so long. It didn't used to be this way 🙁 There's a lot of little annoyances like this that just keep piling up.

if you care about battery life on a laptop its the best by far, firefox and google chrome give me hours less. guess that comes with being integrated to the OS, its very lightweight.
firefox has a better selection of extensions but hey, ubo works on edge and thats the add-on i cant live without.

    >>fast as frick
    Slow as frick
    >>easy to select features like reading pages aloud in a multitude of well-rendered voices
    kek
    , split screen, vertical tabs
More useless features that no one asked for or uses
    and efficient
    LOL nope, not at all
    >>the entire chrome web suite if you want it
    Don't want it
    saving tabs
    Nope
    >>runs in background so always quick to launch
DO microdicks really think having this piece of shit browser running in the background is a selling point? hahahha
    a click away
Another feature that no one wants. No one needs a woke fricking moron AI to interject and lecture you at every thing you see. If you need a lame "co-pilot" paternalist finger wagging libshit nanny AI to browse and navigate the internet you should probably not be using it in the first place
    >>can easily disable any microsoft features you don't want
    >easily
Microsoft is renowned for making shit harder than it needs to be. There are hundreds of settings and annoying useless "features" you would want to disable, often hidden away so you don't find them or so you are not bothered and they just turn that crap back on when ever they feel like it. All these features are for Microsoft, excuses to harvest and sell your data. That's why all these shitty features are so shit. They are not there to better your experience

Lack of simplicity is a deal breaker. Browsers are utilitarian products. I use google’s cloud services instead of microcucks. Chrome for me. No fhansk

    Black person stop shilling.
this bs logs me out of my google accounts.
    >fast
    Black person it's literally chrome
    >split screen
no one has ever used this
    >vertical tabs
    this good but idc
    >runs in background
not on windows 10 iot ltsc after the new eu update where u can uninstall the webview runtime and browser itself.
    >copilot
trash ai for kids and women
    >can easly disable
Black person if you don't read the checkboxes at the beginning they will literally steal ur browser data even from tor.

it's ugly. no homepage other than the shitty news site, always nagging about using biing

why wouldn't i just use chrome? it's simpler, doesn't nag me to switch from duckduckgo to google, doesn't nag me at all actually.

unrelated to thread but I found a firefox 17.1 setup in one of my old hard drives and it's insane how soulful older UI's looked. And it was actually fast to open up. Modern UI and software development is garbage.

I would use it if it had containers and better vertical tabs management.
    Until then Firefox will do.

containers? you mean cookie containers or just tab grouping? cause you can literally use ai to group your tabs

it has ads all over and a forced default homepage full of more ads and new articles on sports and war
is deliberately and maliciously programmed to attempt to prevent you from downloading another browser
dealing with this piece of shit for every new pc i set up is pure AIDS

I only use it for shopping, it has a button when checking out to find and try coupon codes and give you the best discount. First time in a long time that MSFT added a useful feature to anything. But I still daily drive firefox.

    I mainly use Vivaldi for:
    >Mouse gestures
    >Chrome extension compatibility
    >Workspaces
    >Macros
    >Tab Stacking
    >Tab/Stack Tiling
    >Cookie/Popup blocker
    >Notes
    >Panels
Can someone who have used both (Edge and Vivaldi) tell me if Edge does better in the features I mentioned above?

Possibly, however I won't find out as long as Microsoft tries to strongarm me to use it. I hate that and find it very sus, as the kids say.
