Just save for an iPad you poorgay.
They cost around the same
then literally just buy an ipad
android might have a case when it comes to smartphones
that is NOT the case for tablets, the ipad is overwhelmingly superior to any and all android alternatives and its not even close
and the pen is cute
>uncucked youtube (vanced/newpipe)
>clover/kuroba
>manga readers (tachiyomi)
>torrents
>not having a joke as a filesystem
>emulators
>easily view imported media without fcking around with itunes
not a problem if you pay for quality apps and subscriptions (maybe except for tachiyomi, which has no replacement)
Just like Android, literally all of those app cases require sideloading. No, jailbreaking is not an option. No, AltStore is not an option, because it requires iTunes. No, Apple will not be folding to """laws""" requiring allowing sideloading in this decade.
Your only options are through the web browser. Peertube/Invidious (or hack around israelitegle's hack disabling PiP), give up on IQfy, good luck on manga, and hope you don't want to emulate anything more powerful than GBA.
why would i pay for something i can get for free?
none of these apply if you aren't a child/manchild/computer neophyte
that notch lol
Can the S7+ or S8+ maybe updated with better software, like LineageOS?
S7+ doesn't have that problem.
But that doesn't give you Android. I would rather take a cheap chinked tabled, than an iToddler device.
i agree with this strictly because of the digitizer which is the best i've ever used and is the main reason i got an ipad
what sucks absolute ass about it is the fact that there's no permanent softmod/jailbreak whatever you want to call it. the one utility that actually works and lets me "sideload" apps has to be "reprovisioned" from macos with a developer account signed in or some shit, i dont even remember at this point because i mainly use it for sketching and reading anyway.
Dex isuch more usable as a PC replacement than whatever the hell iPadOS is doing.
Nah, still depends on the use case. Much of my usage requires cross platform data syncing, file management, and side loaded apps which iOS sucks balls at. Also OLED >>>>> IPS.
Frick off moron. Not EVERYONE wants to stream low quality video or upload all of their data directly to NSA servers.
BTW, 1TB cards work in the S7+.
Fpbp. Imagine being moronic enough to buy an Android phone and tablet.
Jup. I have a Samsung S7+, this is what i do with it:
- Play XBox games
- Play movies on my 4k tv (had to buy a USB-C to HDMI adapter)
- Watch Youtube when in the bath tub
- Check and trade stocks
- Check news
- Video conferencing
- Dial into work in case of emergency with OpenVPN, RDP and SSH (Linuxadmin stuff)
About twice a year i have a larger bike tour, i put the Tablet into a large map pouch and use Osmand to display real time sattelite maps. Only thing is, you have to have some kind of tshirt or towel over it to reduce heat from the sun.
1. >Instead of watching movies on tablet's CRISP OLED display relishing inky blacks he be watching kino on LCD TV with hauntingly obscene gray bars.
ngmi
2. Cycle and gear are quite nice, you must be earning lots.
>Tablet OLED for movies
It's a 12" display.
The TV is a 65" OLED, why would i not use it?
Enjoy your low ppi kino..
>Play movies on my 4k tv (had to buy a USB-C to HDMI adapter)
Just buy a tv with Google tv and cast your film to tv using vlc
> Just buy a new TV which costs 2000€ to replace your OLED TV, instead of an adapter for 30€.
How are you still alive if you make such dumb decisions?
Or just buy a chromecast and frick off with your botnet tv. It's like 20$ for the ultra
It offers more options to do hardware related stuff. For example, you can run a local Debian chroot. I use it to manage a few personal scripts that do things on my system at home via SSH. For example monitoring the PV status and a few other things.
I have the S7+ and I absolutely love it. I got it last year around november.
I draw on it with clip, play genshin and cookie run and read manga with Tachiyomi and Neko and read IQfy and reddit and wikipedia and books and such on it. I got retroarch setup on it with some gba games in anticipation for a big plane trip i have later this year.
The S8 doesn't feel like a big upgrade over it so I'm sticking with it.
I'm probably not optimizing my experience. Especially youtube since I currently just use the vanilla youtube and gotta make time to try out vanced or newpipe or whatever.
Tab S8 has a gay LCD display.
Usually there is a + Version that has more capabilities.
Neither the tab S8 nor the tab S8+ has the OLED display. It's only available in tab S8 ultra, but at that size it's quite impractical daily use.
None of the iPads also offer OLED display pannels 🙁
I think I'm quite well off with my base S21
S8+ has a 12.4" oled display, basically the same as the s7+
iPad users in the thread coping
OP make this thread when all the americans are asleep. They treat apple products like a social statement for some reason.
>android tablets
also,
>android
I use the lenovo p11. Super cheap from aliexpress coupons. How much is the one in OP?
underrated
I'm waiting for the yoga with the HDMI in to become more affordable
You can get the p11 pro which has usbc to hdmi. I'm good with just casting to my tv
I was looking at that model but I want to use the tablet as a second monitor, I can use my tab7 but I hate the fact it has to be wireless when in reality it doesn't need to.
Oh yeh then idk about second screen thing. Probably not. Seems kind of small for a second screen tho?
I think 13 inches is fine on the account you plan to use it as a touch panel or something, I also have a stand that I can use too so I can use it to view stuff/write notes while using my laptop without having to transfer files.
It's autistic I don't really need it, and I'm pretty sure I won't be able to buy once it becomes cheap with the economy and all
I just bought another S20+ for $300 cash. Use it on wifi and it has a better camera. If I want a tablet experience I can go play with the McDonald's kiosk after taking a shit and not washing my hands.
I own the 7 and I fricking love it
Great for relaxing in bed and functioning as a mini control center for other stuff like my lights.
Way better value way better deal than apple shit oh also comes with a pen.
Really helped me sign documents during covid too
If I didn't have a top of the line laptop I use for gaming and stuff I would have gotten the +
Android lags in clip studio for me but for ipad pro procreate is smoot af.
I'm tired of seeing this antiquated cope post.
i got an ipad as a replacement to a cintiq for art, much better than the android alternatives and almost on par with the cintiq (the pen itself and the screen are both miles better than the cintiq alternative specs wise / lag wise / parallax wise / but you're locked into just procreate because its an ipad and not just a display drawing tablet that you can plug into ur computer. but on the flip side, you have a full tablet instead of just a display drawing tablet, so if you're not a pro then it doesnt matter and if you're a pro then your employer will buy a 30' cintiq for you and you dont need to worry about this)
Samsung tablets don't look all that bad IMO
altough I think Samsung launcher is ugly - can you also boot something like CalixOS onto one?
to answer my own question incase any other anons are curious
so far I've found that u can run /e/os on the tab s6 lite (going for just under £200)
As far as custom ROMs go, that varies, but since they use Android you can install whatever launcher you want
>t. using Nova Launcher
Yeah I worded my question quite poorly tbh, I would use a launcher with it but also don't want Google involved with its bloated tracking system
Have an a7 which is good though probably a bit underpowered (still would take it over an ipad or surface though), wish it had an oled and was slightly smaller though.
Also surface-style kickstand would be nice, as long as it doesn't make it too heavy to hold
Had mine for a few months already, no complaints so far.
>best android tablet
low bar to set
Get an Ipad if you want a toy.
Get an Android tablet if you want something for work.
>Get an Surface tablet if you want something for work.
you can try to do serious work in Android but you'll be fighting it the entire time. it's a content coonsumption device.
lol yeah, I installed hackers keyboard and dcoder and whatever and it was a pain. The only tablet that can be used for productive use is the surface pro and its more expensive than a macbook air. $1800 yeah.
DeX makes the thing surprisingly useful for light productivity work. It's definitely not a primary work station, but it's a solid alternative to a laptop if you have another computer for the heavy lifting tasks.
Too big for comfy portable use, might as well just buy a 2-in-1 Dell XPS. iPad mini is best form factor tablet.
+bump for the pixel slate with stylus and bluetooth bridge keyboard. uses chrome os android vm tho. going to root it next month hopefully
oh dude i would never try rooting something i spent like $500 on
>Shilling poorman's Ipad.
Thoughts on Xiaomi pad 5?
Chink trash. Either buy Ipad or nothing.
Decent hardware, meh software, step above usable pen.
It's a cheap alternative to the S series but I have 0 faith in Xaiomi supporting it long term, and MIUI doesn't leverage the screen well.
I mean i gof the android tab s7
Its alright, but it kind of lags and gets stuck sometimes.
It doesnt feel like high end for being supposedly the best in its class. Maybe its because mine has like 4gb if ram though.
Also the text selection is bad. Not sure if ios does text selection better though.
>I kneel
don't you mean I stand?
TATSU, I kek'd
want to buy my mum a tablet so she can watch her asian youtube on a larger screen, do i get her the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 or Apple iPad 9th gen.
looking for the better screen and sound, performance is w/e
iPad for sure if you can afford it.
The A series tablets are okay, but they're definitely budget tablets. The iPad wipes the floor with them, as it should since it's nearly 2x the price in some markets, worse if you need storage.
Basically, it's the only Android tablet that even vaguely can dance with the iPad because Samsung's the only OEM that gives a shit about tablets. OneUI is the only thing that takes Android on tablets from a mess to actually pretty useful, hence why its the basis for Android 12L and 13.
The iPad and the Galaxy Tab S are really the only two tablets anyone should by buying unless they want Windows (or Chrome OS but that's a mess for completely different reasons).
>iToddlers telling grown Android men that they should sacrifice usability for perceived status.
Every time.
If you want to get work done, the answer is only Android.
>Verification not required.
You goddamn righht it's not required!
