Isn't post-modernism just the realization that philisophy got fricked by Newton and the scientific method ?

Isn't post-modernism just the realization that philisophy got fricked by Newton and the scientific method ? Using experiments to derive knowledge entirely determined by the mathematical analysis of data made philosopher brain-cels completely obsolete and threw them in a botomless pit of resentment, seething and intellectual deseperation. They turned against their own discipline and vowed to systematically destroy anything natural, rational and beautiful because the success of letting go of intellectual masturbation made it clear that philosophy is useless, grave , verbose and unproductive when mathematics is playful, productive, universal and potent.

Peterson is a psychologist he knows nothing about math or hard sciences. Stop defending decadent pseuds because you're a midwit

Pre-moderns believed they lived in the afterglow of a glorious past. Moderns believed they lived on the precipice of a glorious future. Post-moderns believe in neither and actually don’t believe in anything in particular because the structure undergirding both of these narratives has collapsed. Post-modernists no longer believe the modern project is constructing a glorious future but they cannot bring themselves to believe they’re living in the after glow of the incarnation of Christ either.

It’s not really a useful tripartite division because post-modernism is not actually post-modern. It is modern. It’s just the inevitable emptying it into skepticism and nihilism of the modern project.

Pre-modernism is grappling with theological questions. Modernism is refusing to grapple with theological questions. Post-modernism is also refusing to grapple with theological questions, but being totally aware of it and the absurdity of doing so.

No it's literally French people meeting at a cafe jerking each other off about who could be more outlandishly subversive.

They were good because they ballbusted mathematicians who thought mathematics was the end all be all of thinking. Still doesn't change the fact that philosophers are useless gay ramblers.

Mathematics is literally a philosophical formal system that just happens to have an isomorphism with different modes of physical reality, and there are many branches that are useful but not physical at all.

All philosophy is based either upon assumption, that there is God therefore there is rules, or that there is no God, no rules and, therefore, that everything else has been created upon a lie - therefore everything is incorrect but only several accidential facts. Firsr is unproven, second leads only to "live as you want". Which is why both variants are quite useless outside of theoretical exercises at logic.

      You forgot Option 3:
      >There is God, but no rules
      >Therefore everything has been created upon a lie (namely the lie of necessity)

God but no rules = no God, no rules, as God stops being a defining force, but becomes a random force of nature.

          >a random force of nature
I prefer Shestov's personalistic terminology of "limitless, lawless arbitrariness", but yes that's right.
