Evidence?
Your picture is evidence. Why would anyone where something so impractical?
My picture, of a two men wearing great helms in battle, is evidence that they were never worn in battle?
Your picture is a drawing not a photograph. And it shows the impracticality of wearing one
Have you ever worn one? Or are you just basing this entirely on your asspulling?
They aren't as constricting as they look.
They aren't as protective as they look either
It's a lot more protective than no helm; and what would be the point of wearing it for jousting (where we do have later impractical, but highly protective helms) if it's not protective?
>It's a lot more protective than no helm
A skullcap or a Kettle helmet are much more practical.
>and what would be the point of wearing it for jousting
You answered your own question
>A skullcap or a Kettle helmet are much more practical.
Enjoy your arrow to the face.
>You answered your own question
Is English your second language or are you just being moronic?
>Enjoy your arrow to the face.
??? That is what a shield is for
Guess what King Harold Godwinson, King Henry V and King David II of Scotland have in common?
... Surviving arrow wounds?
>King Harold Godwinson
>Surviving
And to what body part where these arrow wounds?
The face. So not only are you limiting your vision and breathing capabilities for something that happened three times in history, but it isn't even that dangerous in the first place
>happened three times in history,
Three monarchs - which is a pretty small sample size to begin with - that I can think of off the top of my head. One of whom died and the other two survived thanks to having good medical care.
>So not only are you limiting your vision and breathing capabilities
Vision isn't anywhere near as much of a problem as it looks; the slits are close to the eyes, so you adjust pretty quick. Breathing is a problem, but given the charge - recall nature of cavalry actions, the helm could be taken off pretty regularly.
>Three monarchs
Three people
>Vision isn't anywhere near as much of a problem as it looks
You can neither look up nor down
Three people who were important enough to record and important enough for me to remember off the top of my head.
>You can neither look up nor down
I repeat my earlier question; Have you ever worn one? Or are you just basing this entirely on your asspulling?
Yes
Also it look gay and cringe
>arrow to your face
Some Arrows would pierce the helmet and the helmet is bad in melee combat because it Block your vision/breathing
It was used at best in some cavalry charges or tournaments and thats it
You misread the wikipedia article.
Surely you joust, anon
>Have you ever worn one?
lmao buttblasted moron too anally annihilated to even troll properly
stop replying to moronic bait homie. He obviously wants a wojak battle
>You aren't taking my question seriously therefore you must be TROLLING!
>never used in a real battle. It was designed for jousting
>you know, jousting
>that dangerous sport where lances get smashed on your opponenet in a simulation of a real battle
presumably you think boxing matches arent real fights because they wear gloves
