It's not 1mbps, it depends on the source file they uploaded.
If they uploaded some super high 50mbps 1080p file, the enhanced bitrate could be as high as 10-15mbps, though most things will be lower.

Average people already discovered many years ago that you can upscale 1080p slightly to 2048x1152 and get the bitrate of 1440p with a higher bit/pixel rate. No "premium" needed.
Also this resolution was doable for many hardware decoders that didn't actually support 1440p/4K.

can't there be a sort of videoboard that keeps the last few days videos? and creators can upload their shit on some other platform for permanent storage. nobody gives a frick anymore after watching it (the very most of the time), so storage can be massively reduced this way
