why would I use scaleshit
sus
That's not how it's pronounced.
stop being sussy wussy
>not using TW
I used for some time, until I realized that get 800 mb of updates every week is worthless for a common user.
Leap is good enough,
what does suse do that arch or debian doesnt
who the frick uses this shit
More stable than arch and just werks
YaST
what the frick is yast?
install and config tool
Yet another setup tool
brainlet friendly config tool that was all the rage and mildly impressive in like 2005 or so.
>don't break after a update, like Arch
>don't have pre-historic packages like Debian
>best KDE experience
>just work
It was the distro who kills my distrohopping. I will never install anything else.
archbreaking after updates is a meme, debian isnt for updooters, KDE is dogshit and you are a homosexual
but you like suse and thats all that matters so good on you homosexual
>prehistoric packages
updooter itt?
It's the only distro that has btrfs snapshotting setup by default so that you can roll back your system. This is non-trivial on other distros because suse has made changes to the location of root files so certain things you wouldn't want rolled back, don't
And?
ok yeah but you're using an immutable root system, that comes with its own quirks. Some leddit comments here on rollback/snapshot support with a normal read/write fs, aka btrfs:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Fedora/comments/srzwxq/why_arent_btrfs_snapshots_bootable_from_grub_like/
https://www.reddit.com/r/Fedora/comments/s2ldyt/does_fedora_makes_automatic_snapshots/
>snapshotting by default
Why would you want this?
Assuming you have <1TB of space like a sane person, why would you want your system to self-destruct?
Read only snapshots don't take up that much space if there's not that much of a different and you can configure snapper to clean up.
https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Snapper_Tutorial#Automatic_Snapshots_Cleanup_Mechanisms
"To prevent disk space getting full, Snapper periodically cleans up snapshots. By default, this period = 1 day. "
>what does suse do that arch or debian doesnt
it uses an inferior package format. who the frick thinks rpm is a good idea?
Works on my machine, zypper is very fast
>it uses an inferior package format. who the frick thinks rpm is a good idea?
that's it, it's over, anon has declared RPM the inferior format. how will we ever recover, RPMsisters?
>what does suse do that arch or debian doesnt
Works.
I just dont see the point in using leap when tumbleweed is a thing.
I don't wanna to download 1GB of updates every Thursday.
If bandwith is such a problem use Fedora instead.
Isn't. I used TW for some time and was fine for a rr distro, but Is not for me. Leap just works and I'm ok with this.
But if someday I need to use a rolling release distro, TW will be the first option.
>It's time to update, anon.
I know. It always is.
where can I get these papes. I saw in another thread that there exists a whole collection of them for various OSs. GIVE ME GIVE ME GIVE ME
why download 3.5G when puppy is 300M and in the end provides the same functionality
openSUSE is dead, the community is leaving for Arch and Fedora, and the board is to afraid to do or change anything to improve the situation
Nobody is actually using Fedora except for redditors, not even IQfy fedora shills.
holy cope
why does fedora trigger so many underage homosexual archtrannies?
Fedora AND Arch are redditcore
>
it will be abandoned soon.
Is there a Debian version of this image?
Thanks anon.
leap or tumbleweed?
TW, Leap will stop existing soon. This might be the last update.
Source?
TW is stable enough that I really don't see the argument for Leap
>$CURRENT_YEAR
>not using Yast2
No. Frick open suse. Its time to prune the linux distro tree. If its not debian or arch based its time to frick off.
Nobody uses the others
Fedora is the only reason you even get new technology on Linux anymore.
The only people that use Arch are desktop ricer NEETs
Nise ass and pussy but I am sticking to windows, you pleb
This lil' homie cured my hopping.
For me, the best distro
