their truth
This along with 'right side of history' sound so hilariously dystopian. If I ever became Supreme Chairman Dictator I'd 100% coopt these terms for my propaganda
"speaking their truth" is the most moronic one of all, since by definition truth cannot be owned. If truth can vary by person, than it isn't universal, it isn't true.
"Speaking their truth" is a cope so that race-obsessed, socialist academics can pretend that anecdotes, personal experiences, or even misconceptions are valid pieces of evidence or information.
>People of Color
I've always despised this term. Its like academics are the pc crowd are implying that there's "people" and "people of color." Ironically saying that whites are default people.
Every time someone uses it in my presence I always get out of the way to say its offensive lmao.
True.
The only reason it exists is to generate some form of solidarity amongst all racial groups barring white people and occasionally east Asians.
The only use of the term is to try and politically act against white people and east asians.
Because what the hell else would a person from Tonga, Bolivia, an Australian Aboriginee, and a woman from Niger have?
Absolutely nothing.
It's a race-socialist term, so arguably a National Socialist term, that is only used for political action against white people

>East Asians
are always considered POC in politics, and the media. The only time they are considered otherwise is when deciding shit like racial quotas in academia and employment. Asians don't really like this obvious hypocrisy, but tbh it seems like they resent whites more and that's why they stay on the plantation.

Asians prioritize their own group like everyone else does. The fact is, whites still discriminate against them in the places that matter, academia and employment. Whites also push a lot of narratives against Asian guys although this is being resolved with the new Tiktok generation being full of homosexuals from all races.
As brownoid myself I hate intersectionality >You have to support all non white people because you just do ok >NOO YOU CAN'T SAY MEAN THINGS ABOUT MINORITIES YOU'RE A MINORITY >NO YOU CAN'T SAY NICE THINGS ABOUT WHITEY
>The fact is, whites still discriminate against them in the places that matter, academia and employment.
Asians are just a friendly-fire casualty of trying to hire/accept less white people. They can't just outright discriminate against whites and only whites like they want to (yet) so disproportionately high-achieving people like Asians have to suffer the same consequences of affirmative action.

>Asians are just a friendly-fire casualty of trying to hire/accept less white people.
Not really. Most colleges actively reject Asians/Indians on the basis of race while admitting whites, also on the basis of race. There are massive numbers of white students who get into high ranking schools, with much lower scores than the average or below average Asian.
The fact is, Asians are being rejected to keep the white proportion at 70% or so. In race-blind schools that only look at merit, you see that Asians easily top 50% of those admitted. And not just in STEM, but in humanities and arts too. I've met so many dumb white kids in college to believe that whites are actually suffering as a result of affirmative action.
Whites push this idea that more blacks and more hispanics are "stealing" spots from Asians, but that's also bullshit. Blacks and hispanics are too poor to even apply to schools in the first place. the few who can afford it will get accepted no matter what, but at such low numbers that it doesn't matter for whites or asians.

I know you got these stats from unz but you forgot to mention that out of those "70" 25% are israelites EXCEPT unis like caltech who are completely merit based. Whites are the least represented

American Indians is fine, we literally called them Injuns since 1492 and they've just embraced it at this point lol. Adding American simply clarifies that they're not the Hindu Indians
I'd say it's the opposite. "Colored People" sounds like they're people who just happened to be colored, whereas "People of Color" places the emphasis on the color as some sort of important attribute.

True.
And also doesn't the phrasing "people of color" make it sound like a disability?
That's what I always took from the wording. Colored people on the other hand always seemed more just like an attribute in general.
The way you'd say tall people or blond people.
Or black people even.
You wouldn't say "people of handsome-ness"
It just sounds wrong.
>American Indians
This is just the logical refinement of "Indian", which no Amerindians actually take offense to. Most of the abbreviate it to NDN to distinguish themselves from pajeets.
Because it is a thing. What most people (academics included) get wrong and what most conservatives get offended by (all the time) is thinking that social constructs = not real. Its a construct, c**ts MAKE it real.
I do however like the term because it makes primordialists seethe. Those people need to be mocked for their own goo
I have no idea why they use that term so much, it sounds so dehumanizing.
It makes the body seem like an object or corpse, it separates it from the human.
Academia, I feel, doesn't understand what I think the largest source of racial division in America comes from, that being how in the mind we both consciously and subconsciously view black and white as different when it comes to people.
Black people notice that when they go to a white-ran store the old ladies there will talk about locking things up or keeping an eye on the black customer.
People looking nervous around them, turning to them in Spanish class whenever the teacher says the Spanish name for the black.
I'd say the way to reduce racism and division in American society should be to try and kill the delusion that we are not one nation and one people.
We only chose to live divided, and I think it's only hurting us.

This is a good term, it's just that most of the people currently using it are actually speaking power to truth.
"speaking their truth" is the most moronic one of all, since by definition truth cannot be owned. If truth can vary by person, than it isn't universal, it isn't true.

Using "she/her" in generic examples. In many econ papers now.
They should use they/them/their/they're she/her is not inclusive, we need to cancel those bigots.

They're actually doing it to introduce the identity of nonwhites under a single umbrella term to counter whites. The term POC is inherently anti-white

>people of color: good
>colored people: bad
Apparently the rationale is that it's "people first"
since it literally has the word people first.
I'd say it's the opposite. "Colored People" sounds like they're people who just happened to be colored, whereas "People of Color" places the emphasis on the color as some sort of important attribute.

adjacent has been underrated for a long time
unfortunately those now rating it correctly also happen to be politically insane

I would really like to know why academiagays are so obsessed with this term

I do however like the term because it makes primordialists seethe. Those people need to be mocked for their own goo

But it's such a superfluous term because literally everything is a social construct.
It means it's made up like social norms, and culture in general.

Can anyone explain where the term "black bodies" came from and why do academiagays use it?
Foucault and Biopolitics and shieeeet
