>helping volunteer with her tech problems
>show her how to copy paste
>her: "so when you copy something where does it go?"
>me: "to your clipboard"
>her: "where is the clipboard?"
>me: "its nowhere, but you can paste from it wherever you want."
>her: "i don't get it. how do i get to the clipboard?"

You can make the clipboard visible, anon. Stop being technically illiterate
why are you so entitled and impatient
did you know everything about computers from the day you were born? no i don't fricking think so
imagine the reverse of the situation
that same woman instructing you on how to invite someone on a date
>her: "okay now tell her a compliment"
>you: "i don't get it. how do i come up with a compliment"
not so funny now huh?
fricking idiot
and now after being an embarrassment of a teacher for God knows how long you come here and invite us to laugh at the lmao dumb b***h doesn't know how computer works xd
well guess what
i'm not laughing
i'm rolling my eyes you cringey troglodyte
go take your dumbass anecdotes to reddit
how pathetic it is that your last refuge of feeling superior is an anonymous tech nerd forum with like 20 people
fricking this
if you're on Windows 10 just press Win + V and you will see your whole clipboard history on screen
I bet you didn't know that even, huh? homosexual OP? bet you feel stupid now?
She probably knew this and was just testing OP
not to mention the absolutely plethora of real-world analogies that you could use
>see the clipboard is like your pocket. you put something in there and it stays there, but then later you can bring it out
just face it, you're not cut out to be a teacher
do not ever have kids, you hear me?
test failed xd
>I bet you didn't know that even, huh? homosexual OP? bet you feel stupid now?
not op, but i switched to linux a long time ago so no, i didn't know that
i'm sure loonix has some kinda equivalent that you can install
On Linux it's not some secret key command, we just click an icon in the system tray to see the clipboard history.
>we just click an icon in the system tray
that sounds like something that's unique to a specific distribution/DE
but what do i know im a wintard
irregardless OP sucks a chicken
sure, i've heard of clipboard managers, i've just never needed one myself so i haven't thought to look into it on windows
it was an ipad
Use a clipboard manager like Copied
getting a third-party app is quickly escaping the realm of capability for the person i was helping
remember those good times when itoddlers couldn't even copy&paste? i have no idea how anyone ever thought that shit was good tech.
why didnt you just show her the clipboard anon
>if you're on Windows 10 just press Win + V and you will see your whole clipboard history on screen
Just tried this and a virus popped up.
she makes valid points though.
Kek, this reminds me of trying to explain to my dad how digital cameras worked, and how you can "re-use" the "film".

i like that article.
specifically the part about how every issue they have after you fix something is automatically assumed to be your fault.
