Cormack McSharty was a garden variety soi materialist atheist. He was also crypto-philosemitic. Nothing about that "man's" worldview is even remotely interesting.
I'm reading My Confession right now and I'm honestly surprised at how much more interesting it is than Blood Meridien. Also all around more enjoyable to read. I don't give McCarthy no credit--it has some beautiful prose, beautiful imagery, and a great sense of humor, but no interesting plot or characters. But it becomes really apparent reading Chamberlain, an actually army veteran of multiple brutal wars, and how energetically and, cheerfully he writes, compared to the affected hard-boiled brooding of Air Force boy McCarthy. The difference between those who fake it and those who don't interests me.
True. He couldn't be more satanic.
Like flies to shit and like reddit takes to this book.
Actually a creepy image
ok, that may be what he is the context of the story but what does he represent? why was he written at all?

Stop seething, paco.
Haven't seen any evidence of philosemetism. His writing is good, just leave it at that

And I'm the joker baby haha
Yes, and Samuel Chamberlain is Lucifer

Yeah, I also enjoyed My Confession more than Blood Meridian because it had a narrative.
