Both are pretty good, tbch. Gnome is less glitchy, KDE is more customizable. They are different enough to both exist, imo. Pick which one you like 🙂

Plasma 6 was rough when it released, but a lot of the bugs and janky glitches have been fixed. YMMV.
It also has the backing of Valve thanks to the Steam Deck which I think will likely make it the best DE in the long run
