this is a known issue, disable segmented/multithreaded downloads
not sure what the frick its called in the app because i dont use it anymore but there is a setting that controls how many concurrent connections are used for loading images, i think the default is 4, you want to set it to 1

Unlike Dashchan, Kuroba isn't capable of spawning a webview, so it just opens your system browser for any external links - even images.
I switched away from Dashchan because the regular captcha breakages and clunky replying UI eventually got annoying to me, but honestly for all the fancy features the new apps have, I'm still regularly annoyed at how many features from Dashchan are still completely absent from every other app. For example, it could open direct image/media links the same way it'd open images in a post, without even spawning a webview. And for external webpages, having a webview that completely resets its cookies and state every time you close it was nice.

Kurobaex has an absolute shit ui. Huge downgrade from kuroba.
