Laptop won't turn on after cleaning it

Hello, I have cleaned the inside of my laptop(lenovo y520). Inside the laptop are files which I need for an urgent court case.

I have unplugged the battery and the fans, both to me seem like they can't be plugged in all the way. 2 pins of the fan connector were not straight so I straightened them with tiny pliers.

When I plugged in the charging cord, there is no light. I think it means the battery isn't connected well.

Where I live there is a public holiday which means there is no business which is open.

How do I get this laptop to work?

Always keep important files backed up anon. Either an external drive or cloud solution. Don't let a dead PC ruin your life, it's just a tool.

      so much this
and do multiple backups on multiple different medias.
for reason x or y an external drive could cease working after some time.
      could even be factory defect

      BUT
it is extremely unlikely you will reunite the conditions to destroy your internal hd AND your external one AND an usb dongle thats in another room AND your DVD

but in the meantime, you can take your laptop's hdd out and plug it into another computer
and access your files that way

I won't tell you because you would only break it even more when trying to fix it.

the charging cord supplying power to the motherboard should be independent of the battery
are you sure the cord is plugged into power? is the power strip switched on or off? etc.

        >power strip switched on or off?
This is the power going into the outlet (some people plug into a power strip before the power goes into an outlet). Try a different power outlet. Can we get some closer pics of your cable connections? Also, take a picture of specific parts you've replaced if you can. I recall you're the guy who upgraded their ram, NVMe SSD, and cleaned their fans, right?

          >Try a different power outlet.
Oh you mean the extender, it works wholy.

          >Can we get some closer pics of your cable connections?
          Which specifically?
          >Also, take a picture of specific parts you've replaced if you can.
I didn't replace any, just added another stick of ram
          >I recall you're the guy who upgraded their ram, NVMe SSD, and cleaned their fans, right?
I cleaned the inside of the laptop and put extra ram in. I still need to add new thermal paste and find a m.2 screw.

Well it should do something even without the battery, so there must be some other issue, the connector between the battery connector and the fans labeled JDCIN1 should be the one bringing power from the AC charger to the whole mainboard

          >Well it should do something even without the battery,
Yes, either the whole mechanism is dependent on the battery connection and only the battery is broken or both the charging system and the battery are broken.

Or maybe there's a disconnected ribbon connecting the power button as

a ribbon connector probably came loose or something. go over everything very slowly and methodically looking for something crooked or unplugged.

If this is not an option take it out regardless before you fry it.
Don't do anything with battery or charger connected
I would try holding power button for 10-30ish seconds with both battery and charger disconnected. After that try turning it back on with only charger connected.

Lol, too late for that. I already tried turning it on to no avail.

I cannot as it is stuck to the external chargeport. You can see it in

      >are you sure the cord is plugged into power
It is independent of the battery, yes
      >is the power strip switched on or off?
      Idk what that is

Another thing about the battery would be picrel

If you have a desktop or access to one, taking the hard drive out for now is probably the best option. And plugging it into a desktop. A desktop is much harder to break.

Nothing is loose. The 2 ribbon connectors I see are both connected to their ports.

First off, take the disk out of the machine, and if you need the files, plug it into another computer. You’ll need a SATA to USB adapter that you can order online. Maybe check Best Buy or micro center to see if they sell these adapters in store.

First rule of electronics troubleshooting is thou shall check voltages. Do you have a multimeter or know anyone you could borrow one from?
Alternatively, do you have a PC? You may be able to take out the SDD and boot from it on the PC, or boot from a linux USB and access it from Linux. Do you use bitlocker on the laptop (does the C drive show up with a lock symbol on This PC)? If so, do you have the backup key? If no then you might be fricked. In that case you should call someone from a data recovery company and be prepared to pay out the ass.

Then do what I said, plug the drive into the PC and copy the data. Don't bother with the voltages until you have backed up your data or you might fry it for good.

OP, why did you imagine you should tear apart an important piece of equipment to "clean" it? This level of spergtism is fascinating.

Failure to back up your data always reflects resentment of doing the needful. Work on that because it's also why the rest of your life is fricked up.
