things that provide a superior user experience. I've used every tier of keyboard, mouse, speaker, monitor and computer besides ridiculously expensive pretentious stuff. There is a real qualifiable difference. If you can't tell the difference between anything then I don't know what to tell you

Not really. I have a logitech membrane keyboard for work and it's significantly worse feeling than what I use on my personal computer. I think it's a sin of autism not to be able to perceive the details in anything.

The problem is onboard sound needs to be equalized through software and that sort of software is either non-existent or poorly supported on Linux. You should have an external DAC regardless of your use case or your speakers.

        This.

Never had external DAC. How would it impact my user experience for casual music listening?

Doesn't change the fact that you're still stuck with a useless tiny screen and a battery to plug to power and unplug to avoid overcharging.

Depends - for personal use I'm okay with one monitor. For work I'd rather have that extra screen so I don't have to swap workspaces every few minutes to check shit like communicator or mailbox.
