I would have no issues buying a 4090. I just don’t want to. I’d rather invest that money, pay down debts, or honestly waste them on something that gives me more joy. My 3060 is more than enough for my use.
These 4090s are not going to have longevity beyond their warranties, LMAO! Glad I went with a 4080 super. Driving more than 400W through that 12VHPWR connector is straight-up hilarious
12VHPWR only exists because Nvidia wanted to save on BoM costs and increase power limit on their cards. They are pulling a Lightning and "USB 3.1" on the industry by effectively bribing *cough*Intel*cough* PCI-SIG to add their shitty proprietary cable design from the 3090ti onto the ATX 3.0 spec. Nobody asked for it nor wanted it.
Notice how it is only Nvidia SKUs that use 12VHPWR and nobody else? Not a coincidence.
Nvidia is just emulating their idol, Apple.

Funny how the 3090TI had no problems and pulled more watts.
It's PCI-SIG allowing a second shitty vendor who skimped on connectors, and shitty GPU manufacturers cutting corners and going with Astron.

Wrong kiddo, 4090 pulls more power then 3090Ti when it is actually taxed. The reason is that most games and settings are not properly taxing 4090 (a.k.a it is CPU-bound) which is why it is power consumption seems to be on the low side for now. It is a different story for general compute loads.
The connection is objectively under engineered trash that nobody asked for and is use a cope for Nvidia to keep min-maxer types satisfied by increasing the power ceiling.

This is why no one takes you seriously, every outlet with a power consumption benchmark shows the RTX 4090 has the same TDP as the 3090 and consumes less power than the 3090TI, and 40 series in general to have less transient spikes than their 30 series counterpart due to the switch to the much more efficient TSMC.

>moron can't comprehend that current games aren't taxing the AD102 to its breaking point
Try running it with general compute tasks and come back again. 5nm node means jack if the silicon is massive and it boosts to crazy clockspeeds that go far beyond efficieny curve. There is a reason why 4090's HSF is massive. It is also a lot more efficient then 3090Ti predecessor at compute stuff despite the fact it pulls quite a bit more current barring thermal throttling.

>TDP is not TDP because I pulled it out of my ass.
A power virus like furmark puts the 4090 at 462.1w and the 3090TI at 468.6w according to tom's hardware
TPU puts the 3090TI's transients way higher than the 4090 and TPU does have GPU compute testing via Blender4, stable diffusion and topas video AI in their benchmarks
They put the maximum power consumption of the 4090 at 483w and the 3090TI at 529w which does not substantiate your claims.

Holy shit you have no reading comprehension, I posted the transient spike chart and also mentioned maximum power consumption.
I'm cited sources, posted charts, while all you did was pull shit out of your ass, I'm out.
>Driving more than 400W through that 12VHPWR connector is straight-up hilarious
12VHPWR connectors have been discontinued for almost a year and replaced with 12V-6x6
all newer NVidia GPUs have the new one
it's backwards compatible though
they also reduced max voltage in firmware (at least for 4090 FE)
with that said, the connector is still fragile as frick
they should have used 2 x EPS
I refuse to use the fire cable with its sliver-thin safety margin and paltry 30 cycle installation limit.
If a gpu is made that takes two of them or asks for half of the rated wattage of the cable, I will consider it, until then it's the 3090 for me
I'm not wealthy but I finally justified getting a 4090 this year, I spend 12 hours a day on my PC and I can 'affford' it so why not have the best experience I can get?
k i dunno how people justify a 1500usd card that melts itself even if was 500 and didnt do that id find it a hard sell considering i barely spend 2hrs a week lul
My 4090 has had no issues but I think you have answered your own question, if you barely spend 2 hours a week using a PC of course you wouldn't get one
H8 novideo (own only novideo)
It will go under/unused as I don't gaym all that much and don't care for fancy life-like visuals (my favorite games are dwarffortress v47 and mc 1.2 tekkit)
that doesn't change the fact
and you don't need a low profile card. even itx builds have 4090 cards today

you could literally put a 7950x3D, 240 AIO, 4090 FE in a 10L case (Formd T1)
along with x670e and thunderbolt 4 (if you need that)
all powered by Corsair sf750

look at you have your sperg out over nothing. This is the shit you get on this site just by owning something you can't buy.
Someone saying you like something doesn't mean they're selling it to you. Nobody gives a frick if you have it or not.
More like lower middle class. To be honest though, even if I had money, I don't think I would buy a powerful GPU. I don't play games, I'm not a coomer, and I don't need one for any professional workloads, so I'd rather buy something useful with it. Or maybe I would just waste it all in storage since I'm a datahoarder.
I bought a xtx because at the time, israelitevidia still required an account with logins and shit to update your drivers conveniently
Been playing Arma with frame gen and it's super nice. I don't think I could do that with a 4090
>jewvidia still required an account with logins and shit to update your drivers conveniently
doesn't happen.
The account was for using the screen recorder and Reshade colouring functions. Not to update drivers. lol
It asked for a password when the GeForce experience program started on my 1070, so I chose not to use nvidia for the next card. AMD has never asked me to make an account
Yes. You can completely bypass the whole Geforce Experience shit and install only the drivers by selecting "only install drivers" when you run the installation program.
Crazy or what!

the whole point of gfe was that it would download in the background and you would only have to 1-click approve driver updates. I'm not going all the way to a driver update website like some peasant and manually downloading a new file every time

And not only was it unnecessary, even nvidia walked back that decision months after I had already bought my xtx. Funnily enough, the out of game frame gen and upscaling is way more convenient for my game library than ray tracing would be
I have a 4090. I also have a 3070, a 3080, a 6700 XT, a 1080 Ti, a 3090, a Arc A770 Special Edition, and an RX 580 XXX Black Edition. You could say I'm a bit of a graphics card hoarder.

Just not a manchild

A manchild that gets laid is still a manchild.
I suppose some gamers actually manage to have sex
Yeah, with their mothers and fathers
I'll take it!
I'm so rich, I can afford power meters and thermometers.
I don't need more than what I have
>he buyed a Nvidia
I don't want my house to burn.
I considered getting a 4090 but it doesn't seem economically viable for me to pay release MSRP for one now when the 5090 is just around the corner.
Yes, but also I'm saving for 5090.
>overpriced
Nothing to do with being poor
nVidia's pricing is an insult to my intelligence

This, but for Apple products (and also Nvidia products).

If I were elected into European Parliament, I'd build a computer with a xx90 card every month.
I just don't need a powerful desktop setup anymore
Still spending on kilobuck iem and a very overpriced keyboard like an idiot tho
Is nvidia so destitute poverty tier that they can't sell the 4090 for less? lol maybe they should get a job.
I don't use proprietary drivers, which makes this card useless.
I don't want to upgrade for unoptimized AAA slops, my card still play all my stuff at 120+ fps
I would have no issues buying a 4090. I just don’t want to. I’d rather invest that money, pay down debts, or honestly waste them on something that gives me more joy. My 3060 is more than enough for my use.
4060 is more power efficient.
I don't even play AAAs anymore.
Poor + not a kidult like you. Games are for pathetic incels.
You will forever be a homosexual for still using IQfy
gAi is for homosexuals
games are for losers
simple as
can you name one digital daily use case for anyone doing anything digitally where AI cant help?
I already know you wont be able to reply with examples, no need to seethe btw. I'll preemptively accept your concession right now.
ip urchase a 3090ti at a few years back, good invesment.
has 24gig and thenvlinkI think they NVIDA forgot to take off so was commercial
Not a big deal, but it means I can do AI with the 24 GB vram, and should see me through 10 years or so
The 3090TI doesn't have NVLINK though, anon. Only the 3090 does.
These 4090s are not going to have longevity beyond their warranties, LMAO! Glad I went with a 4080 super. Driving more than 400W through that 12VHPWR connector is straight-up hilarious

Lacking critical thinking, like you, for example, makes one poor too.
4090 is poor-gay tier my friend.
Using your student loans to purchase this GPU doesn't mean you're rich moron. Go back to your studies

Glad I had it for DD2, it's continuously useful, I won't even play GTA6, I didn't play 5 either
Gaming on a 4090 is a waste, stop acting like a boomer, nobody asked.
then lower the power limit to 300W homosexual. you lose like what 2% of performance.
I wouldn't use it for gayming so it would be a ridiculously overpriced toy for me.
get an RTX 6000 Ada poorgay
It's insane this card came out 2 YEARS ago and literally never dropped below MSRP even once
which is why 5090 is going to be $1,999 msrp, $2,200 retail, and it will still never be in stock
i doubt we'll see flagship cards go below msrp ever again
>Let me guess, you are poor?
I wouldn't get the benefit of shoving that into my mobo. Zero.
My 1080 still plays everything, I don't need the new card
Only reason to get one is if I decided to do more AI lewds
Wrong board
Indeed I am now poor after purchasing the Nvidia AIRTX 5090 Ti Super
H8 novideo (own only novideo)

No, I just don't need more for now.
Coming up at almost a decade and it's still good for 1440p. Don't even know what I would upgrade to now.
Nope, I have money so I buy Intel products.
I'm half poor then, bought a low profile 4060
>gyped version of a gyped card
dumbass
it's the most powerful low profile card in the world
you are delusional
that doesn't change the fact

Meh. I don't have a 4K monitor and don't have interest in having one. I'm fine with my 4070.
Where were you when you realized that the 3070 is more than you'll ever need? Modern games are fricking shit.
The 00s-early 10s games I play run fine on my 1060. I don't think I've ever even seen the fans turn on.
I am still using 970 that I bought in 2015. I only play games using emulator btw.
Once again a bunch of poorgays and have-nots tell everyone what they should need and use.

Crabs in a bucket
When are we finally getting the $1000 -60 series card?
September
You unironically dont need, and will never need, more than an rx480/1060
Anything more is consumer bloat
this would be true if the only game you played was morrowins
Show us your Cyberpunk performance with settings turned up
Do people actually play that game?
Yes, how about DD2?
Waiting for 5XXX.
The only reason I'd ever need one is to run SD3 whenever that comes out. I'm certainly not going to play modern AAA games.

If I had the money, I would buy things for enjoyment, not thinking about whether it's useful or not.
not worth it. sticking with my janky dual GPU setup.
Isn't that the one that's so heavy it breaks the pci-e slot and the one the catches fire from drawing too much power?

i only buy video cards that start with 3, 6, or 9
so im waiting for the rtx 6000 series
