Bluetooth has a lower polling frequency. With the wireless dongle they can go over 1000Hz no problem, but on Bluetooth they're stuck below it.

never got the wireless mouse gimmick, it's like it's trying to solve a problem that is not even there, and that's without mentioning having to buy batteries to keep using them

A mouse is something you frequently move around. Why would you want it connected by a wire?

Why not? You're not taking it to the shower or jamming it up your ass. Actually having a cord might be helpful in that case.

Bluetooth is a slow protocol. Even when you make it not compress and decompress the data, it still has a noticeable latency. Also the polling rate is low.

If you want something good and wireless then you ditch bluetooth, it's as shrimple as that. We'll see this in audio too eventually, there are already some examples.
