Hardwood floor.

>immediate, quantifiable improvement
>falling for the springy israelite
Tatami and futon
The RV/boat ones because they're small but don't feel awful the way cheap springy matrices do.
>wasting money on a mattress
op must be a woman
sleep on the floor
There's CO2 on the floor you imbecile.
it doesn't bother the japanese who sleep on the floor
what is this even supose to convey? is this some placebo meme i'm no aware of? there CO2 everywhere its essential for breathing
The molecular weight of CO2 is 44 g/mol.
The molecular weight of O2 is 32 g/mol.
Humans are CO2 generators and most of it settles on the floor of a room. That's why we have the whole "monsters" under the bed thing. It's CO2. The monster is CO2. We're afraid of suffocating in our sleep due to CO2.
AFAIK japanese homes have more air flow and are less subject to stale air. Something to do with high humidity of living near the sea.
I weigh 110kg. It's not comfortable sleeping on a hard surface at all
skill issue fatty
no one IRL is going to tell this but force yourself to be uncomfortable until morale improves, chubby boy
He posts the most autistic answer possible and your reply is "but I'm too fat". Incredible.
sleep on the ceiling
Good fricking luck
The mattress industry is a cutthroat scumbag scam zone
There isn't a single independent honest mattress reviewer, its just fraud and commission links all the way down.
Make sure you don't buy one with fiberglass dust in it. It's the cheapest way to make them fire moronant and it contaminates your home like asbestos and costs tens of thousands to properly remediate.
Hybrids are the best unless you have money for Latex. I'm about to pull the trigger on a hybrid (actually managed to find the only shop in my area that has one to demo) and it was perfect firmness and felt better than my expensive foam mattress at its peak which lasted 10+ years. I'd recommend even if you find some online brands to go look at beds in person first. But good luck anon, is correct and doing research is hard because it is almost all disinfo.
I hope you're not in the market for a new frame/platform also, because I'm going through that hell right now before I order my bed and it's even worse when it comes to research and finding what you want. And prices are even more out of control.
Foam is comfy, the cheapest foam mattress is far more so comfortable than even the most expensive spring mattress.

After trying a few hundred $1-25k beds, this was the one that I thought was the best. Stay away from the crazy overpriced luxury beds, most have similar counterparts at the $2-6k range.
I've had my mattress for my whole life, 20+ years and still sleep everyday on it.
It's spring mattress, they don't make good quality like in the past.
So from my own recent shopping and preferences, I believe hybrids are the superior type. Combines the long-term support of springs (you want pocketed independent coils, # varies according to size, ex. a good Queen will have ~900-1,200+ coils) with the movement isolation and comfort of memory foam (you want multiple layers ~4-6inches of memory foam + gel / latex). Tempur-Pedic is simply top dog of full-foam, the cheaper stuff wears out and sags faster. Full memory foam that is not the firmest gives that "sink in," feeling which I personally don't like. I prefer firmness 6 or 8 out of 10. Hybrids like I described are available from many manufacturers. The low end of the "luxury / premium" segment is the $600-$1,200USD mark, where some can be found on sale. Anything cheaper is not built as well and won't have the necessary coils, edge support, quality top memory foam, etc. Keeping all that in mind I suggest you visit a few stores that carry a variety of models and makers and do some real world laying down. Plushness versus firmness you like is what you need to figure out.
Btw this anon continuing, I went with DreamCloud Hybrid standard model, should be arriving soon. Otherwise there was some stuff on sale from other big mattress retailers and Costco's Kirkland model I was considering. Reminder shipping or white-glove service (if you want that) are considerations that could add / save up to ~$200 to the total price. Also, most places offer 0% financing
Agreed. I have a hybrid mattress and it's brilliant. A pain in the ass to move because of the springs but it's lovely to sleep on. Ruined foam mattresses for me.
I had my best sleep on my grandma's 4 inch wool mattress on the floor (literally a rough fabric bag filled with sheep's wool)
I just got a hybrid mattress which has springs on the bottom and memory foam on top. I think its the best of both worlds
Anything else is bloat
I've been sleeping on a military issue foldable cot for 20+ years with the addition of a hardwood plank for hip support its literally the best bed you can get.
Sure, I might be unemployed and unpopular with the ladies but at least I get the best sleep every night all year long.
get one with memory foam without springs
>memory foam
I live in the South where it's balls humid.
Just get a camping cot
tempur pedic.
I recently needed a new mattress.
