Wish they were bigger, but damn, she's hot as hell. I hope all her books have a really big picture of her on the back, in a bikini maybe, or something form-fitting and sexy, a slim red dress perhaps?
I only know that she tried to criticize Murakami's female characters in an interview with him:

I like how you conveniently left out the fact that she is practically Murakami's biggest fan. Hell, she even went on record saying that Murakami was her biggest inspiration.

Yeah, I don't think she's a militant feminist critic regarding Murakami, I guess they are friends. But that interview still contains some questionable arguments that have become quite common.

Yes, this was annoying, but you're identifying the wrong person ~~*bankrolling*~~ this attack on Haruki Chadakami.
This bit where she criticizes him (boilerplate college feminist stuff--thank god she keeps that stuff out of her work, which is actually quite good) comes as part of a giant book-length interview, most of which is presumably quite amiable.
But notice, the only part they've translated and used in promoting her in the west is this contentious bit where she's challenging the other, bigger name Japanese writer (who must, for western feminists, be knocked down a beg due to being an unashamedly heterosexual man who respects yt cismale scum writers and notices breasts on hot younger women, etc.).
Kawakami is slightly at fault herself, as her analysis in that moment is lol-tier, but really it's the western literary establishment and her promotional team positioning her as the feminist alternative to Murakami who are the villains (for them, there can really only be one Japanese writer at a time, maybe a few if they're all women or gays).
>Look at OP image >Look at her interview with Murakami >"I think plenty of readers would argue that women are forever in this situation, forced into an overly sexual role"
I dont read books written by women
The prettier the women the better she writes. Fatter women tend to write goyslop.
And on the other hand, handsome men never write anything good. The implications of this are vast and far-reaching.
>ugly person cope
never read, never will
most male writers are handsome, with the exception of pynchon
wrong
I would say pretty women can have a lot of different male partners, can live the high life, be invited here and there, have multiple life experience.

What kind of dumb question is that? The site was founded to discuss anime and japanese culture.
Its mental illness not to prefer asian women

Women always overestimate how important they are (or should be) in men’s lives.
This just disqualified her from my reading list thanks
