"Switching" is not strictly necessary. I have librempeg installed in /opt (non-standard library path), and I do use the programs on occasion. But system libraries are still ffmpeg's.
It's also possible to build mpv against librempeg, install it in a non-standard path, and use it alongside the binary built against ffmpeg. But I haven't found a need for this yet.
Paul didn't rename any of the programs and libraries (yet). No API changes were made either if I'm not mistaken, but we don't know how things might diverge, and to what extent, in the future.
Anyone else had mpv fail to display subtitles recently? I thought the encode/track was bad but then I switched to another sub track, switched back, skipped backward and they magically appeared.
>I like my fast precise seeks, thank you
You don't need cache=yes for local files.
In any case, if you're streaming, it could be anything that caused that lel
I think cache=yes + audio(no audio sometimes)/subtitle(no subtitles sometimes) track switching is bugged brother

I didn't switch tracks, I was just watching normally.
Now that I think about, I think it was roughly at the end of my initial cache. I opened the file, went to where I last left off, and the issue happened about 5 minutes after which is what I have my cache set to.

Good chance I did a few seeks backwards as soon as I skipped to where I left off so I could recap. Cache might not have filled at that point, before I went backwards

If nu-mpv devs don't even care about making sure their commits work properly, backwards compatibility is the least of their concerns
Moving issues to "discussions" section = trying to sweep things under the rug :^)
numpy devs don't care. libmpv was wm4's gift to the world. he made an easily usable and embeddable library to improve the quality of EVERY video player and inspire other developers to contribute to the A/V dev community... but then shitplacebo appeared and tried to make mpv into a sekrit club project that only appealed the most autismo of color autists.. the types of endusers that wm4 made fun of on a daily basis.
libmpv is the last bastion of wm4's greatness. the nupv devs want to dismantle it because "why arent u just using mpv???".. just horrible
haasn did nothing
He seems to be making a comeback actually

I switched between sub tracks and then they never appeared again recently. I'm ~2months behind master though.
Do you use cache=yes btw?
Do you regards not know cache=yes is only relevant when streaming shit through mpv? He didn't say anything about streaming
>[cplayer] Enter buffering (buffer went from 100% -> 4%) [0.042000s].

Yes

I'm not streaming, and yes I do. Try it yourself

I'm so tired of Andarwinux
What did Andarjeetwinux do this time

Why did they change the cozy thick bar border? This look so ugly now. Is there a way to set the thickness?
I forget how it looked before, but try changing osd-bar-border-size, check other osd-* settings too
This is what it looked like before. I downgraded to version 1:0.37.0-2. You can clearly see the dark lines much thicker.
See those changes

Thanks.
I will just add this to my config:
osd-bar-border-size=1.2

i have fade set to zero and it looks stuttery.
temp fixed it by setting prox fade in/out to 10 pixels. looks almost instant.
