Don't buy books on Amazon. They do print on demand without telling you and the quality is ass. I ordered one book from a fairly big publisher and it looks like someone screenshotted pages of the book and printed that. I can actually see pixels on the font. I recommend alibris instead.
They used to do burn-on-damage for DVDs many years ago. I'm sure they're all rotted out by now. It was just your standard DVD-R, probably not even a good one you'd get from a Japanese maker at the time.
