I still don't have it. Can you scroll the comments without the video going off the screen? If so that's why they changed it. Looks more like TikTok I guess.
It isn't that bad, it's just that most people are used to the old one. They've just swapped the description+comments and recommended videos with each other. Nothing too crazy.
Yep, the last 2 lines should fix the related videos sidepanel from being made too big as well, haven't seen anyone post those before.
They might make the video a bit smaller than the actual player though, but this seems to fix it
youtube.com##+js(set, yt.config_.EXPERIMENT_FLAGS.kevlar_watch_page_horizontal_margin, -8)
Jesus christ, we have this thread every week you utter morons
It's not a new permanent layout, it's A/B testing new designs
It'll go away in a few days.
Looks like they merged normal layout with streaming layout. It makes sense from a logical standpoint. Whether you like it or not it doesn't matter because now the layout is cohesive on every video
I use randomized Individious instances for comfy searching with browser and for watching I use ytfzf + yt-dlp + aria2c with 128x connections to force rape Google if it doesn't buffer fast enough, mpv with features I want. I also have same type of stuff for twitch. I will never watch ads, sponsors or anything that those "Premium" users have to watch.
at a glance, the video appears to be a chinese-subbed recording of the japanese PM kishida speaking. so what i mean to say is "airborne sand particles from the Gobi Desert"
Does anyone have a CSS snippet to remove the limit on page width in default view?
Then again comments are cancer anyway so only the theater view matters.

So far, it's only if you're not logged into your YouTube account or if you're in incognito browser.

I don't have this problem as a troonyfox extension user
My invidious instance stays unchanged.
Seethe about it.
Just got it on my up-to-date firefox using Windows 11 Home. Looks pretty nice, I prefer it over the old design.
