Sadly most companies will just outsource all their problems onto other vendors and have them sign indemnity or some other bullshit and the US government currently accepts that and all the other moronic garbage that tools like blackduck output. Hoping with our pilot, we can force the government to demand more stringently defined SBOMs, and as I said, Nixpkgs with strict source only provenance is basically the only way to do this, other than maybe guix which is more autistic when it comes to bootstrapping as well.
