Can't stream on it unless they like you.
That shit is lame and is one of the main reasons why they can't get any adoption.

They let pieces of shit like Ethan Ralph stream even after being convicted for a lot of shit.
They can actually moderate which would be easy as frick due to the few things that they don't allow.

          >THEY LET IN homosexualS I DONT LIKE NOOOOOOOO

it's either this or cucked censorship

          >moderate which would be easy as frick

moderation is the most expensive, tedious and difficult process of maintaining an online platform, not even sure what you mean by that

The problem is Ethan did so much stupid shit they eventually kicked him, not for his shit content and behavior but because he talked shit about them.
I don't get it they can at least get the stupid fricking system they put in place to allow people to stream to actually work.
All I'm saying is if the powers that be actually gave a frick to shut it down they would have done it already

it's very risky as previously explained

            >All I'm saying is if the powers that be actually gave a frick to shut it down they would have done it already

why bother targeting some irrelevant service when their legislation will take care of it in the long run anyway, these homosexuals aren't wikileaks

They have an engagement system they shill and you can see people constantly telling them to fix it so they can stream.

            >convicted
of what exactly? he is a felon who tried to punch a police officer when drunk but aside from that he pled no contest to revenge porn and his other legal shit is family court related to the bpd hoe he knocked up. I don't like that moronic wigger any more than the next guy but don't just make up shit about him, there's plenty of ridiculously degenerate truth to highlight instead.
also the flip side of allowing ralph to stream is also allowing josh to stream, thus making ralph and his paypiggies eternally seethe (even though josh never streams there because lol). but the point is if you can't have your cake and eat it too.

What I'm saying is gunt is a piece of shit that got chased off of all platforms yet they jump to add his dead show when there are creators actually using the site and still have to wait to be able to stream.

ok well just say that instead of using legal words like convicted then, since he had a bunch of legal bullshit recently and the only conviction I'm aware of is his felony assault of a police officer from years ago.

            I can't believe I found a gunt guard
This moron is a serial doxer and harasses people's families and is so fricking moronic he gets beat up in the streets multiple times in the same year.
            He got banned from Dlive
            Let that sink in
If you're that much on this site's nuts I can only assume you're a shill

3: he has not been convicted of stalking in america, or assault in portugal
4: I do not care about the turkish
5: "let that sink in" is a reddit phrase
6: you are Black person cattle
goodbye, feel free to continue believing what you want instead of what is true. check out his thread on the farms if you want to change that.

There is no such thing as a platform without censorship. I can't believe morons on this board actually believe companies when they lie about this. It's a fricking business. They have one purpose to exist: to make MONEY. Every time, they will kick off anyone who threatens their profits.

Live streaming isn't distributed/decentralized in odysee. Odysee live streaming just uses bitwave (https://github.com/bitwave-tv/bitwave). Peertube live streaming is distributed though.

it's good but it's not at all decentralized like some people believe.
and i do mean it has zero decentralization, there has been censorship. the "decentralized angle" is just hot smoke, a marketing gimmick.

as an alternative youtube platform it's a success story though, however it is the same and could be just as bad in terms of censorship in the future.

this, check out the video below explaining why odysee/lbry isn't decentralized
      https://odysee.com/@ScottCBusiness:4/what-happened-to-lbry:8

jump to 1:53 to skip the intro

      tl;dw.
Here is a shorter explanation: Odysee website is fully centralized.
Lbry app is partially centralized. Search is centralized as it does requests to the odysee servers to get search results and I believe comments and likes are centralized as well. However the videos and video metadata (description, etc) is decentralized.
A funny thing is that technically lbry is fully decentralized. You can search for things decentralized, without odysee filter (which mainly removes copyrighted content) by using lbry commands/api but the app doesn't do that. So it's possible to make a lbry client that is fully decentralized and has no censorship filters.

how are the videos decentralized? you download them from amazon's servers on Odysee website/program and i doubt there's a community of torrent seeders at anyone's disposal that will gladly continue to seed the things that gets removed from the odysee site

i poked around on their blockchain and i couldn't even see a hash of the video content

        Anonymous

The app also appears to use third party data to decide what videos to show to you.

        >You can search for things decentralized, without odysee filter (which mainly removes copyrighted content) by using lbry commands/api but the app doesn't do that.
They also have a claims explorer here:
        https://explorer.lbry.com/claims

You can only search for hash, address, claim ID though. It doesn't search the description.

that's what we're complaining about, the lies. what you make it sound like is that they can't *really* delete a video, but if they decide to delete it it's gone. maybe you can get some text from the block chain but forget the bytes of the actual content.

Odysee is the one website I feel confident has an actual chance to be a viable YouTube competitor. I don't think they're going to become #1 anytime soon, but if they play their cards right, they have a real chance of becoming to YouTube what Lyft is to Uber.

The best YouTube and viable alternative now.
Its not perfect or 100% Free Spech, but is much better than boomer shit like Rumble, or crap like b***hute.
Plus, there is an addon for browsers called "Watch on Odysee", that redirects you to Odysee if a YouTube video/channel is on Odysee. And yes, you can just put your extantYoutube Channel to Odysee to easily port videos there.
