Old School Chat

Are you all too young to remember old school chat on services like Prodigy and AOL? Where did all of those people go? AOL Chat survived in some form until 2020, what happened to them all?

People talk about CoD lobbies but AOL was way fricking worse.
I used to go in the VB3 room before they shut it down, I even had several Host accounts on both AOL and Prodigy. It was rough and prone to abuse. I know because I was one of the worse abusers kek.

i remember them, i remember that they were fricking trash and irc was far superior.
            > what happened to them all?
meth addictions, multiple kids and living in trailers (probably).

            > efnet
embarrassing. how does an internet protocol die exactly? a server can lose traffic but a protocol isn't "dead". anyone can run an IRCd. IRC protocol will be supported until the end of time. there will always be IRC servers. will there always be a discord or <whatever cancerous app of the day> ? absolutely fricking not. can you run your own discord server? a real server, not this fantasy nonsense invented by furgay pedophiles? ah. that's right. no, you can't. cope, seethe, dial8 and go the frick back, Black person.

you better let the Internet Engineering Task Force know about this. they'll have a great laugh at your schizo cope post. imagine not knowing the difference between a server and protocol?
            > durrrr IRC is dead
            > lists a bunch of garbage servers nobody has ever liked
why is it that you furgay pedophiles are never actually on any good servers? just live stream your suicide and get it over with. you're too pathetic to live.

never used chat services when they were major things

used google chat till it died, moved to skype till they banned me for no reason and admitted it was automated and wrong so I should just make a new account, and now discord.

and what happened to them is simple, they evolved.
