>On his deathbed, unable to speak owing to advanced laryngeal cancer, Huxley made a written request to his wife Laura for "LSD, 100 µg, intramuscular." According to her account of his death[88] in This Timeless Moment, she obliged with an injection at 11:20 a.m. and a second dose an hour later; Huxley died aged 69, at 5:20 p.m. PST on 22 November 1963.
>"At his request, his wife shot him up with LSD a couple of hours before the end, and he tripped his way out of this world."
how was he SO based
ummm, isnt that illegal
not back then it wasn't
Can’t charge a dead man.
imagine ruining the literal once in a lifetime experience of death with a mid synthetic psych
there isn't any difference, moron
isn't any difference, moron
then there's no added value for the LSD
But let's face it, atheists are just hedonistic drug addicts like
and
prove
That would make christians hedonists for wanting divine bliss.
how are those two posts you quoted atheistic?
Christgays genuinely fear the idea that their most treasured experience is so material you can induce the same state with chemicals. I’ve seen them literally break down crying about demons to try and “explain” how it’s different. Even though it isn’t.
It wouldn’t really be a problem if the bronze age dick cutters weren’t so insistent on imposing their mental issues on everyone else.
>bronze age dick cutters
what
>on a literature board
>hasn't read THE book
Kids these days
>ruining the literal once in a lifetime experience of death
I'm planning on blunting the agony myself, if possible, one way or another.
>ruining the literal once in a lifetime experience of death
it's not like you're gonna be there to remember it later
It depends on how deeply you drink from the Lethe
Maybe dying while high is a whole ‘nother experience altogether. Not like we would know unless someone who was dying while on psychodelics got revitalized and stabilized. And even then maybe you don’t feel it until you are about to truly leave this place.
looks like Gombrowicz or Klossowski or somethin
>take LSD five hours before dying
>now instead of dying in five hours you feel like you're dying for years on end
T-thanks.
The brain releases DMT when it's about to die, it's what causes near dearh experiences. And DMT is more potent than LSD.
Dude, that's crazy
*tips*
it's been proved experimentally, it's not broscience
Is that true?
it's a theory

imagine doing this and having a bad trip and dying while having visions of your impending torment in hell
Counterpoint, imagine doing this and having visions of a)a blissful afterlife where a paternal God welcomes you in His loving embrace and you see all your loved ones there, b)You experience total absolute oneness with the universe's consciousness, c)You get to partake in the great orgy in the sky
I guess it's a Jacob's Ladder thing.
this. Aldous went on the final trip, as his conciousness merged and returned to the cosmic conciousness. in a way, he made this process councious, through the use of LSD, he, and not just his Essence, went on to return to the One, the Eternal infinite.
The DMT released by your brain already causes that
Point Counter Point
The same day as the JFK "assassination"...
C. S. Lewis too
LSD is a very potent painkiller, people forget that aspect. An experienced acid-head wouldn't be particularly confused, either, no more than a normie would be confused by a cuppa coffee or a glass of beer.
wow, 250ug. pretty potent dose
Even so... You can also build up quite a tolerance if you don't wait about a week between doses. Otherwise we would double up to keep tripping, one hit, two, four, eight... That's about time we'd quit, even at the prices we had back then it gets expensive! And that was usually about a weekend's worth of tripping. Give yourself at least a week, and you start again lol. But at less than a week, the effect is extremely attenuated without higher dosages.
i dunno man I'm a pretty experienced acid user and there's no way I'd take it on my death bed
psychedelics destroy the fear of death, I don't see the issue. What's the chance of having a bad trip while you k iw you're in your last moments? At that point you are at peace. I think.
Was the opposite for me, it gave me an intense fear of inevitable death that I still haven't really gotten over
i think we should stop all this "psychedelics do x", "psychedelics gave me y" or "they cured me from z", it's not that the molecules have any innate nature themselves, they don't cause bad or good trips, they simply are. we should empower ourselves to be the ones who trip, not the subjects of an external force that does to us as it wills, and we ought to embrace every new modality of thought we may find within us, whether it inspires serenity or fear.
I'm gonna do the same but with alcohol.
>"Beer, 6 pack, intravenously"
Same. But alcohol is a coward's drug.
Proper unfiltered ale is an excellent source of nutrition. Alcohol in general is also a typical solution to administer other drugs.
I'm going out like a champ filled to the gills with opiates
Tell that to the intense pleasure I get from it. I can't drink anymore though. I've quit. But upon my death, I shall have one last kiss of the bottle, my first and last love.
Based as frick.
I'm gonna drink to this post.
Cheers, I am drinking with you in spirit.
it'll probably burn like hell

In 11th grade I took Values in Literature (complete joke of a class) and we read Brave New World. Teacher made a point about Huxley being anti drug because soma so I raised my hand and when called on mentioned this little bit of trivia and The Doors of Perception. She got rather angry and said LSD didn't even exist when he died. I never read I single book in her class but never got lower than a B, I quickly realized that the values her Values in Literature class were about were her values and pandering to her values would be enough to get me a B if not an A on every assignment and test, class discussion would provide all I needed to know about the books themselves.
Wow. Your teacher was fricking stupid.
you were probably the best student in that class. Willing to ask questions and counter the authority of the teacher. TRUTH is the essence of writing, and every literature class should be willing to look the truth plain in the face!
Isn't it said that dmt in the body gets released at the time of death?
>how was he SO based
not only that but how based was his wife? i aspire to be with such a woman as she.
Huxley was a midwit pseud and Brave New World sucks.
based
his obsession with drugs showed the decline of his bloodline, and of English letters generally
even something like morphine would be more understandable. because on opioids you remain mostly lucid and your mind isn't too clouded. it would soothe any potential pain and you will remain full cognizant of your brain dumping dmt and whatever else. overriding or adding to your brains natural psychedelics feels sacrilegious to your own human experience
>moments later
What if just before you die you hallucinate a new life and start anew.
an infinitely recursive sequence of existences... Intereating
