don't give a frick about shit arm boards that need a custom kernel and don't have bios
they're worse than minipcs in every regard
its not arm
tru & based mini pc Chad. are these yours or is this an image from google?
minipcs dont have io pins
>Manjaro Linux for gaming
moronic distro and choice for gaming when gaming dedicated distros such as Nobara exist
They could've funded financial contribution to gaming distros as better value for investment and get more incentive for the freetards to contribute
>dual channel
>3 cell
>50 Whrs
>waste money on gan charger instead of batteries and ram channels
>expecting quad channel on laptop hardware
lol
Cheapest steam deck has quad channel no excuse for chink shitters not to include quad channel
No, moron. Although you're not entirely to blame. JEDEC nomenclature intentionally fricked this one up, and Valve simply followed suit.
The Van Gogh APU in the Steam Deck only has a 128bit memory PHY. Externally it is two 64bit channels. Its dual channel memory running at 5500mt/s providing 88GB/s bandwidth. Internally each of these channels is run as two 32bit pseudo channels due to DDR5 having doubled bank structure compared to DDR4. Still its dual channel.
>not doing the bare minimum to increase performance of an iGPU
why should I buy your product again?
manjaro is garbage
it's arch, so is arch then
manjaro violates the basic principles of arch. we've been over this
You sound moronic... Are those principles written by God himself so no mortal man may ignore them?
>you cant possibly frick something up
how far back your throat are the devs?
Of all things available they chose fricking Manjaro?
SteamOS on the deck is based on arch isn't it? Manjaro is just slightly friendlier arch, it's pretty comfy and seems just fine for a handheld.
SteamOS is tailored for the deck and I'm pretty sure it doesn't keep up with Arch updates and rolls out their own updates after thorough testing, which isn't hard since it's only 1 hardware setup. This isn't going to have that luxury, if Manjaro ships something broken it's going to install that shit and break.
Valve curates SteamOS' repos themselves, and do it so mostly fine. The idiots behind Manjaro? Not so much. Plenty of stories on their forum about broken packages.
According to their website, https://neo.manjaro.org/ , it's running an "immutable" version of their OS. Fully qualified name, "
Manjaro Gaming Edition - immutable Update system via GamepadUI".
I'm assuming that means it won't be receiving updates on the same channel as regular Manjaro, and will offer an experience that closely mirrors that of SteamOS with the system pretty much locked down by default.
pretty sweet
Manjaro preinstalled because most of people will install Windows themselves immidiately, so there's no point in increasing price with Windows licence
Memejaro? Seriously?
meme OS, just install SteamOS, arch, or some meme fork of Ubuntu
manjaro is moronware I hope the product flops
t. Archchuddie
How can I buy this shit?
It's still in the prototype phase. It's gonna cost as much as a Steam Deck, so might as well get a Steam Deck.
Manjaro? The distro who forgot to renew their TLS certs more times than I have fingers (and toes)?
>worse than a first gen steam deck in literally every respect but the screen
a true reddit device
Good. Competition is healthy and breeds innovation and hopefully stability. Both for the handheld PC gaming market, as for the OS that gets put in the hands of many normies suddenly.
nothing wrong with that unless you're butthurt troony
>amd
>manjaro
kek you ain't playing videos on that thing
