how absolutely fricking embarrassing

How moronic can one man be?
They don't care about my certificates, they employed me because they saw I knew the shit I was talking about. And I learned the basics from cs50.
>watching video won't teach you anything
Perchance education system failed you to teach you how to learn? If you watched a video, closed it and went about your day, it's a you problem.
I'm sorry for your loss.
It doesn't mean you didn't. You sound like my stupid b***h ass mother. Talking about some "Do you believe everything you read on the internet?" just because I read something on the internet and reckoned that it was probably true/accurate.
They shouldnt have introduced the Duck ai assistant. I completed tideman and used the duck cause they said it wasnt cheating, but I feel like I cheated. Maybe thats just the future though
shallow and too spread out. also, any fool that teaches coding with a video more than 10 mins at a time without coding exercises is a bad teacher. odin project is way better.
I finished the first cs50 released on freecodecamp, I'm 6 hours into the second (2023). It's pretty good, to hear from someone at harvard gives confidence in the information he shares. It was my introduction to C and made me feel smart. He is very smart and quickly troubleshoots any issues that come up. He introduces several programming memes like the rubber duck and cowsay which is fun, and he uses puppets. There are other free cs videos on youtube from MIT and stanford in case you were wondering, search for playlists of these (eg search "MIT computer science" with the playlist filter) and you'll find a lot of videos.
It's good because if you have any trouble with any of the assignments it means programming isn't for you. And by trouble I mean more than a few hours each for someone completely new. The best filter material ever.
It's great for a beginner and/or someone who wants to learn C (first 5 weeks are in C, you'll write a lot of C code, make sure you do all the optional extras) and thus it filters all the shitskins on here. It will have you writing a frick load of code from week 1. Unlike boot camps and other shit it will teach you useful stuff like memory management, recursion, algorithms and data structures. If you complete this course you're already better than 90% IQfy and you have a good base to branch off to what ever area you find most interesting in computing.
This book is fricking garbage.

Check out this one too.
This book is fricking excellent although if you complete CS50 you probably know a lot of what is in it.
no its very good
durgasir will teach you computer science faster very much sir and using java
I turned it off when the ad came up at the end of the first lecture and it said

what kind of 80 IQ morons are they trying to appeal to
Future tech workers who work two hours a day and spend the next hours eating, travelling, doing yoga and tiktoking.
This won't happen, 80%% of us will just be unemployed and the rest will have to work twice as hard
Yeah
You can watch a video of a course that a surgeon would do but that doesnt mean you learned anything
Not the same thing moron
You got everything you need to learn CS at home
You dont have an operating table
Bro in any profession, a fricking video wont teach you shit
This is the sort of moronation I love to see on this site. Good Lord, lmao

>noooo you cant just watch a video of a lecture you have to go thousands of dollars into debt to sit in a class and watch the same lecture
>watching video won't teach you anything

No it's great, in pretty sure people on g just avoid talking about it to gatekeep people from programming
There are other things that are gatekept too, like nand-to-tetris course good youtube channels like Ben Eater.
Understanding the fundamentals of computers makes you such a strong programmer. It's not just about learning to code and grinding leetcode.
>ayo white boy don't forget race conditions
CS50 is a great way to self teach. I view it as an effective supplement to combine with whatever your degree is in.
you won't become a weapon of java with limited instruction like this
They shouldnt have introduced the Duck ai assistant. I completed tideman and used the duck cause they said it wasnt cheating, but I feel like I cheated. Maybe thats just the future though

Mogged.
>Overrated?
Not if you do the exercises. The hard ones, I mean.
>python
>javascript
>html
pure brain rot
MIT course is better.

what if you can never make it past day 1 because its so fricking boring
Filtered. You can skip the lesson and do the assignments if you think it's boring. You can skip the python webshit stuff too. Just do all the C ones.
Bros after doing the C lessons from CS50 where should I go with my C learning from here?
the K&R book

>This book is fricking garbage.
I don't think that's true. I'm currently on it and so far it's been awesome.
>teaches a super old standard of C
>full of errors
>a bunch of the example code doesn't compile
>heckk this function doesen't have a return type before the name and IT WON'T COMPILE!!!!!
>WHAT DO I DO ANONS!??!?!
I'm at chapter 4 and so far everything compiles, I think you're bullshitting. Will let IQfy know if that's true at any point tho.
I'm at chapter 5 🙂
Check out this one too.
I've heard good things about this book. Will be my next read for sure.
If you don't want to read this, nand to tetris video course (free) is this book in video form.
Doesn't it teach python instead of C?
American schools in general are severely overrated, yes
MIT's intro course is better cause it doesn't assume you're a moron.
If your toes are dry this is a good place to get them wet.
