Panera Bread Hacked

Their website and app have been down for 2 days now. Can't do orders, look up customer accounts or anything. 2 days of profit, gone. How does something like this happen to a million dollar company?

    who cares?

    >how does this happen
corporations are clueless about IT and do not value it correctly. as a result they end up with ransomware destroying key systems.

Who cares that a huge fast food chain has been hacked, losing millions and having their customer data breached? Yeah, you're right.

This happens all of the time. Panera Bread is not systemically important.

Really? Show me 1 time a top 10 casual dining restaurant was done for 1 day, let alone 2.

Why the frick would I want to order Panera? It's over-priced ($11.99 for some bread with a few pieces of chicken and cheese).

Hacktivists are probably mad at Panera for using the bakery exemption from California's minimum wage law.

Why would they care that a bunch of liberal douches are not making minimum wage?

Not him, but are you living under a rock? Last year, I think, there was top (or one of the top) Las Vegas casino hacked, nvidia leaks, rockstar leaks, solarwinds etc etc
And you're surprised about some casual dining restaurant? Do casual dining restaurants stand out from all above with their exceptional OPSEC?
            Fricking moron.

I don't care, I think it's funny. And they don't care either, in all likelihood. Or they would have secured their systems.

Panera is absolute shit. Shitty food that is outragesly expensive with terrible customer service. I'm shocked it took this long for Panera to have something bad happen to it.

Try any other restaurants guys, Panera's food is too hard sometimes anyways, not gonna hurt to look for options or call the restaurant directly to reserve your food, pick it up etc

      >the allegations: Sarah Katz, age 21, had a disorder called Long QT type 1 syndrome that causes abnormal heart rhythms. She strenuously avoided caffeine, but allegedly drank Charged Lemonade without realizing it was an energy drink. At some point after consuming the beverage, she had a heart attack and died; an autopsy attributed the cause of death to her disorder. Dennis Brown, age 46, had an intellectual disability and high blood pressure. While he, too, avoided caffeine, he allegedly consumed three cups of Charged Lemonade thinking it was regular lemonade. Afterward, he, too, had a heart attack and died. Kline & Specter, a personal injury firm, is representing the families of both individuals in their suits against Panera (both filed in Delaware, where the chain incorporated).
