just put ! or @ at the end
Thats exactly what I do, but its frustrating going to log in again months later, typing in the password variation I know I would use for that application and having to remember "oh these stupid fricks made me out an ! at the end"
i fricking hate when some limp dick sysadmin homosexual thinks he knows more about security then me
Why aren't you using a password manager?
just give some program access to all your passwords bro! what could go wrong?
It's opensource(Keypass)
>Keypass
You just got phished bro
>it's OPENSAUCE THAT MEANS IT'S SECURE
It's only secure if people review the code changes, there been a ton of times open source shit's snuck stuff in because people were simply too lazy to look at the inner workings.
If sha256 is good enough for bitcoin its good enough for your password
>If sha256 is good enough for bitcoin its good enough for your password
Doesn't matter if there are back doors grabbing everything while your unlocked on the program moron.
Because nothing like that has ever existed before... Like a big opensource software that some people injected shit into because they didn't like russia right? That never happens!
Opensource doesn't mean secure if everyone has the same mentality of "well everyone uses it so someone would have noticed!"
Take your meds
I agree but since this particular software is extremely popular and a lot of people and companies use it, I trust somebody knowledgeable must have reviewed the code
What is the point when the web browser remembers passwords?
i simply have a txt with credentials of accounts like facebook/instagram that i only use for stalking.
important passwords are memorised anyway
>facebook
>instagram
fricking normalgays i swear
You have proven to us in one sentence that you dont belong here. Go back to facebook.
i only made a facebook account for one single girl, and i had a really hard time making it since facebook doesn't like fake accounts
i basically did 4 attempts which all got canceled and banned by gaybook. I managed to trick it with some "selfie" of a random guy when it required that from me
I would if i had 5 figures in my bank account
It's a far better user experience anyway
It's not just more secure
It's easier to use as well
These banks that ask you to change your password every 3 months?
You do that in 10 seconds
And don't have to remember shit
All you gotta do is remember 1 password
Yeah but then id have to pay for a subscription and i hate subscriptions cause i always forget about them.
Nah man just download KeepassXC
It's free, opensource and runs on your machine
>cause i always forget about them
thats the point
Damn Larry you lucky bastard! You might just be the luckiest man alive.
No you wouldn't. Even if you had the money you shouldn't use a proprietary password manager, especially not SaaS crap. have a nice day
Bros keypassxc is just a password storage solution.
A password manager just creates random passwords and plugs them into everything.
If there was a free alternative like that id use it but there isnt.
bitwarden
free as in piss and open source
sounds like a lot of work
i store all my passwords as a plain text file on my desktop
it's exactly the same only far more readable
you create an entry with the username and it automatically creates the password for it (you can change parameters for the password or enter it manually if you want)
all you gotta do is copy paste the username and copy paste the password, when you want to use them
>These banks that ask you to change your password every 3 months?
I'd move to another bank if mine pulled that shit. Frick you and your moronic security, I seriously don't care.
You oughtta remember your passwords.
Because my brain is functional and I can remember my passwords. You might want to see a doctor and have your head examined.
oh yeah?
type out all your passwords right now
for me it's underscore
t. european keyboard
>he knows my secret
my passwords are sequences of shapes they are random and secure enough and are very efficient to learn/remember and input
I see no reason use a different method
as long as you are using a different password for everything you are good I guess
but don't use the same one for every website cause that's what I did before, and some trash website for gaming mods called nexus was hacked a few years back, and thus all my accounts were hacked
that's when I started using a password manager (Keypass)
>but don't use the same one for every website cause that's what I did before, and some trash website for gaming mods called nexus was hacked a few years back, and thus all my accounts were hacked
have you ever thought about changing 1 letter in your password to something related to the service your using? like making the nth character G when logging into google or something like that?
Still not very secure
All it takes for a hacker is to guess one letter
A password manager is far more secure
And it's far more user friendly as well
Some moronic businesses ask you to go on their shitty facebook to take appointments though
>make a password
frick
>must be 8 characters
frickfrick
>must have a mixture of uppercase and lowercase letters
FRICKfrick
>must include alpha and numeric characters
FRICKfrick8888
>must include a special character
FRICKfrick8888!!!!
>no repeating characters
>password manager
Exfiltrate all passwords from one easy file!
>must include a special character
>a character who's special in the moronic sense?
>types "pepe"
But if you add more requirements to a password doesn't that make it weaker since you're removing possible combinations?
>must be at least 27 characters
>alphanumeric characters only
>must contain exactly one uppercase letter
>must not contain any numbers
>no repeated characters
>cannot be longer than 27 characters
Perfect security.
Killyourselfrightnowmoron
>passwords must include a special character
>doesn't count _ as a special character
Gee I sure do look forward to years and years more of having to do 2fa, captchas, mandatory password resets, new account creation, forgetting and resetting my own pass because it isnt what I think it should be, because that one website doesnt accept my normal pass, and all the other hoop hopping bullshit.
luddites start to make more and more sense.
>Passwords must be at least 8 characters
password
>Passwords must contain upper and lowercase
Password
>Passwords must contain at least one number
Password1
>Passwords must contain at least one special character
Password1!
>Passwords may not contain dictionary words
P@ssw0rd
may not contain dictionary words
What kind of moronic condition is that?
Prevents dictionary attacks.
That's way too restrictive. Normalgays without a password manager will have a hard time remembering their passwords.
mybanksucks9000+dicks
googlesucks9000+dicks
redditsucks9000+dicks
The character 'A' is special to me.
I don't see the problem. My password of ';DROP TABLE users;--1 contains uppercase, lowercase, numbers and symbols.
