Nothing. I voted for him 3 times.

no fan of the conservative dork, but there is no way he could be worse than trudeau. no fricking way.

        >t. ppc voter

He's a lot worse. He'll continue importing immigrants, especially curry fricks and sand people, and then he'll cut taxes for the wealthy, cut funding for healthcare and privatize it when people already can't afford to pay their bills, and ban abortions, without exceptions for rape, incest, or to protect the life of the mother. He'll also do nothing for housing except for his corporate overlords and empower price gouging landlords. On the matter of grocery prices, on his team, Pollievre literally has a Loblaws lobbyist working with him, who'll ensure he does nothing to reign in on loblaws and other grocer chains from price gouging meanwhile they make record profits; off of people who are barely living paycheck to paycheck.

At least Trudeau offers a helping hand here and there, CERB, increased funding for healthcare, childcare, ending federal student loan interest, but obviously that's far from enough, but it IS better than PP (Pollievre).

The best choice is NDP or Greens, they have more policies that favor the working man/woman, like strong union support. Unfortunately they do support high immigration levels, but all the parties do.

NDP/Green are the best, unfortunately, no one is going to vote for them because they feel they'll never have a chance at winning.

          >CERB, increased funding for healthcare, childcare, ending federal student loan interest, but obviously that's far from enough
See, people love getting these handouts since the cost of living is so expensive now. The gov't has us relying on them now. If things weren't so unaffordable the Liberal gov't wouldn't be able to gaslight us by offering us money after the inflationary results of their failed policies.
          >federal gov't makes living unaffordable
          >you now need to rely on the gov't
          It's very simple.

            gov't makes living unaffordable

Have you missed my points about grocery chains, corporations and landlords price gouging customers/working people of society? You need a little bit of regulation to prevent that shit from occuring, and while Trudeau is far from doing enough, PP will cut all regulations on those issues, and it's going to get a whole lot worse.

Too much government is a bad thing, but so is too much corporatism and unrestrained capitalism, and the Liberals are just a diet version of the Conservatives when it comes to regulation. But obviously they (The Liberals) do a little bit to lend a helping hand with what I mentioned.

With the conservatives it's gonna be: "just pull yourselves up by the bootstraps!" meanwhile immigration will continue, landlords will continue, unrestrained to price gouge, loblaws will continue fricking ordinary people over while counting their money, and home prices will continue to go up because the conservatives will let corporations buy up land.

Whatever you say, pinko. You're not wrong about the gouging on the part of major grocery chains tho', but it can be both at the same time you know.

The government made society shut down, causing companies to have to raise prices. Then they made it illegal to enforce due rent.

No they don't. The Liberals sperg about how conservatives are le bad guys while they pump money to the metropolitan elite (their base). Just look at where all of the COVID relief ended up--if you make 150k a year you got 8k plus tax credits; if you were making 50k and lost your job you got 8k and a "good luck" (plus inflation erased that 8K because your cost of living has gone through the roof).

I don't like Trudeau anymore. But obviously he is better than PP for the reasons mentioned.

I want to vote NDP or Greens this time, even though I'm not that leftwing, but I'll hold my nose and vote for Trudeau if it means blocking that rat looking Millhouse from becoming PM.

They're obviously both shit choices, but if I had to pick I'd pick the least bad option.

In general, If you don't like what's going on in politics, vote for the best choice, even if it's the least bad, then, participate in the political process, contact your local representative/senator or mp make your voice heard on issues, become a community organizer or even run for office. That's the only way we'll actually get change.

NTA, but I'm socially conservative and fiscally liberal and literally no party represents me. They are all either socially liberal or fiscally conservative. I just want strong government policies which empower people to be able to build traditional family units without globohomosexual rigging the economy so both parents work while rigging the school system to make kids gay or trans.

true. I kind of wish the Liberal didn't go woke and could actually manage a government. I htink their ideals are in the right place but they just let the public service bloat too hard, and then alienated normal people with the "its 2015, kneel for black lives, etc, etc."

    >Beginning on the left uppermost shelf we have a copy of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn's Cancer Ward next to the Bodley Head edition of August 1914.
    >The only volume I recognise on the top centre shelf is Rupert Murdoch's HarperCollins Study Bible (sadly, lacking dust jacket).
    >The next shelf holds five Dickens novels belonging to the Penguin Clothbound Classics series: Bleak House, Hard Times, Oliver Twist, A Tale of Two Cities, and Great Expectations. PenguinRandomHouse sells these volumes as part of a six-volume set. I wonder what it means that A Christmas Carol is missing.
    >Framed family photos dominate the second row of shelves, but look carefully and you'll see the second edition of Richard Rohmer's Patton's Gap (Toronto: Stoddart, 1998).
    >There aren't many Canadian books on Pierre Poilievre's shelves. The Rohmer aside, the only others I see are Stephen Payne's Canadian Wings: A Remarkable Century of Flight and Mark Reid's 100 Photos That Changed Canada. The Americans dominate: Reagan: In His Own Hand, Henry Kissinger's Diplomacy, Karl Rove's Courage and Consequence, Thomas Maier's The Kennedys, and Peter Baker's Days of Fire: Bush and Chaney in the White House.
    >What else have we got? A paperback copy of 1984 is followed by The Wicked Wit of Winston Churchill. A Regnery Gateway book is next. I thought at first it might be Ann Coulter's High Crimes and Misdemeanors: The Case Against Bill Clinton, but now have my doubts.
Kind of pleb but not terrible.

What are we supposed to "do"? The government is an oligarchy. Most people are slaves who don't care about anything except for their private affairs. They can move as many browns into this country as they want, but they can't get rid of Canadians, and their reign won't last forever.

      Side note

I had a meeting with a guy who was on Jason Kenny's staff, and he was a pretty obnoxious libertarian. It was a meeting completely unrelated to politics and he went off quite quickly about how poor people dont want to work, and how even $300k a year isnt enough to live well in Canada because of taxes.

But, beyond pretty substantial disagreement with his politics, he was pretty nice.
