You're young. You would know that wealth doesn't really have much to do with skill or ability. To a certain extend it does, but to get exceptionally wealthy you don't need anything more than being a bit above average. Even then, if you work extremely hard you need to get extreme pay to cover for it. However that is simply not the case.

You don't even need that. There was a study matching known iq scores against income levels and the super duper rich are the only category where IQ actually doesn't have any pattern at all (adjusting for relative distribution).

tbh I did this and now am working but I still have the feeling that I missed out on fundamentals.
Learning through tutorials and shit is all good, but I feel like I have 0 proper theoretical knowledge. Sure I could read a book about design patterns but CS students probably had exams and had to learn the history and implementation of that shit.
My university didn’t cover design patterns, and my data structure and algorithms class didn’t even cover trees. I paid $15k for a piece of paper.
