Thanks Gayben.

You are welcome
you don't need huge bandwidth for gaming, just decent bandwith and high IOPs and low latency.
I bet cutting the lanes down does literally nothing like they said.
>but it makes my weebdiskmark score lower
Oh no, now you have to deal with only loading your games at 2 GB/s!
Stop making excuses for a company refusing to do the bare minimum and alerting people of this discrepancy, and releasing a new model number like every other respective company does whenever a hardware change is made.
Fricking brain dead shills.
I bet the SSD performs exactly the same on both models because it can't saturate 2 PCIe 3.0 lanes anyway. If it performs exactly the same there is no need for a new model number.
>if you agree with anything a company does then you're a shill
not really how that works
companies make internal design changes without notice all the time, this is not unusual, if you made your purchase based on the expectation of getting an x4 m.2 slot, then you can likely get a refund based on that
>cutting down a needless overspec to help keep the costs down/the same
moron, it's exactly the same product.
Game asset loading is mostly cpu-bound decompression and some shader/texture format conversion.
If its a multiplayer game youre more likely to have your load times jammed up by anti cheat and server responses than a slower SSD.
Well it's still a downgrade but I doubt there will be any difference, specially not in gaming. That think is slow enough that you can afford storing games on a microSD
for games on a relateively low end system it is unlikely you'll see any performance difference, there's just not that much data being loaded at a time
So not only do I have to wait over a year to be given the honor of buying their shit now I'll even have the bonus of being given subpart hardware compared to those who bought before me.
Probably a heat/battery life change.
Gen 4 PCIE wasn't put into laptops for a while because 6gb/s+ a second tore into both.
>They'll probably artificially cap the slots on all models to 2x mode on the next firmware update.
>>They'll probably artificially cap the slots on all models to 2x mode on the next firmware update.
That's fricking disgusting considering you can buy your own ssd
Tim is soooo upset
It literally does not matter.
literally will make no difference to performance, they probably had to compromise to increase manufacturing speed
refunds are a thing shitter.
hard to get a refund for something you already opened and works.
? no it's not, you have 2 weeks to return any product just because you feel like it
wait, don't tell me you live in a shithole where you have to spread your cheeks and say thank you afterwards
>I'll have to get a x2 for the same price
I don't know where you live but where I come from that is a future tense.
He can just cancel the order, he can just refund it. You stupid twitch emote posting Black person.
It won't make a single difference. Same reason why running a GPU on x8 instead of x16 doesn't matter.
In the case of those dogshit 5600 and 5500xt it does
The 5600 and 5500xt cards are both x16 cards moron. You mean the 6500xt. Also it only matters because it has x4 pcie AND only 4gb of ram.
If it had twice the ram it wouldn't be much of an issue, if it had twice the bandwidth it wouldn't be much of an issue. The problem is it has both.
Why is not cheaper if you get cheaper components inside?
It is cheaper though. Look at inflation since the release.
On my 1 dollar bill it's still 1 USD
But that 1 USD will buy you less things now, particularly when it comes to food or gasoline, yet Steam Deck still costs the same.
>he doesn't count value in gallons of milk
lmao, stay poor
x4 wasn't advertised. It'd be like complaining they used less copper in the PCB traces because less current was being used then they calculated.
You don't see any difference gaming between even sata and pcie ssds, why would x4 to x2 matter? This isn't a server. Even the fricking slow ass sd card slot runs almost every game I've tried without any meaningful performance downgrade.
valveBlack folk BTFO yet again.
>same third world schizo that got BTFOed from IQfy now migrates to another board to shitpost about the Deck
>Gets BTFOed again
Lmao
