maybe I'm wrong because I'm not a homosexual who plays league or valorant, but some anti cheat software can detect you're in a vm (on windows) and block you. I imagine this is also the case with vanguard

I only played a few games of Dominion and Twisted Treeline. I didn't play that much in those times--just normals with friends. I picked up the game seriously during the pandemic, but even in the span of a few years, the game changed so much--and not in a good way. I stopped playing a lot about a year and a half ago but uninstalled completely once I heard about Vanguard.

You can detect you are operating in a VM incredibly easily.
Only if the vm exposes that information. It does by default but you can disable it
you don't know how VMs work, so it's better to keep your mouth shut. vanguard is not gonna work on any VM. it needs to run straight on the hardware

Vanguard might make cheating harder, (eg you might need a Raspberry Pi to read out ram then send back mouse input) but it is so much more reliable to just make anti cheat on server side;
eg send ghost players behind walls to players and see if they react to it to figure out if they are wallhacking or only send opponent locations when they can actually be seen

afaik, vanguard just arbitrary screenshots your game window during the game and if it sees anything that is not supposed to be there, then you'll get banned.

yes, it obviously needs more than that. But screenshot thing is enough for detecting almost all wh cheats. Root access needed for triggerbot/aimbot that are certainly harder to detect.
