Protestant pilled

I’m tired of dreading hell all the time and feeling like I’m not good enough and constantly having to work harder to attain heaven. I’m tired of focusing on the guilt part of this faith rather than the joy aspect. Sola fide is looking more and more attractive.

The bible doesn't support sola fide

Of course it does. It’s a matter of emphasis. The ingredients are there, same as the ingredients are there for the papacy. It’s a matter of interpretation.

Doesn’t mean works justify. This is articulating the kind of faith which justifies.

Don't change argument; sola fide (faith alone) is worthless without works

Correct me if I’m wrong but if works do not in fact justify us then it can only be faith which justifies us. Hence, peace with God.

I dunno, the main message I get from the Bible is just to believe in Jesus’ salvation.

A living, saving faith exhibits works yes. But do you believe your works qualify you for that justification? Or is a living, saving faith the gift of God?

Then you'll hate Protestantism because a lot of it is being told every two seconds you're going to hell

Most Protestant sects are even more obsessed with heaven and hell than Catholicism. Avoid any type of Baptists or Calvinists (Presbyterians, Congregationalists, some Anglicans/Episcopalians). Also most non-denominational churches are essentially just Baptists. Lutherans are pretty chill.

What does that leave left? The only Lutherans in my city are the LGBT kind. I am just considering checking out some evangelical churches. I want as mainstream (“down the centre”) a Bible interpretation as possible.

I too was weary of being on a pendulum of extreme despair and pride when I was in the Catholic Church. I found the truth, assurance in my salvation, and comfort of the gospel with the Protestant church.

Works flow out of faith, you are not saved by them, but by the undeserved grace of God. God bless.

There is no such thing as hell or sin because NDEs are unironically irrefutable proof that heaven really is awaiting us because (1) people see things during their NDEs when they are out of their bodies that they should not be able to under the assumption that the brain creates consciousness, and (2) anyone can have an NDE and everyone is convinced by it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U00ibBGZp7o

So any atheist would be too, so pic related is literally irrefutable proof of life after death. As one NDEr pointed out:

    >"I'm still trying to fit it in with this dream that I'm walking around in, in this world. The reality of the experience is undeniable. This world that we live in, this game that we play called life is almost a phantom in comparison to the reality of that."

If NDEs were hallucinations somehow then extreme atheists and neuroscientists who had NDEs would maintain that they were halluinations after having them. But the opposite happens as NDEs convince every skeptic when they have a really deep NDE themselves.

Could all of you abrahamic cultists piss off and come back only when you have something to contribute?
    I think that'd be great.
